Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky Wed in New York

After much buzz, Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky married on Saturday in Rhinebeck, New York. About 400 guests were in attendance, including, of course, former President Bill Clinton (aka dad) and Secretary of State HIllary Clinton (aka mom). The wedding was a decidedly uncelebrified affair, though actor pair Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen did attend, along with what
PEOPLE calls "a handful of congressmen and other prominent Democrats." Chelsea, who America watched grow up in the White House, wore a dress designed by family friend Vera Wang.
Shortly after the ceremony, Bill and Hillary Clinton released a statement:
"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day."
Danson commented on the wedding, telling PEOPLE, "We want to wish them the best. They are great kids, very family-oriented."
Chelsea, 30, and Marc, 32, met in 1993, but only began dating in 2005. They live together in New York City.

Just think Marc can get a flag that was flown over the White House to drape over Chelsea while he does her and not be too disgusted.

You are the disgusting one.
She's a definite two-bagger, use an extra bag to cover her face in case one falls off.
What a lovely wedding it was. Chelsea Looked soooooo beautiful. Everyone did ! I wish her all the happiness in the whole world.
We have a great American family. They are our "royals". I was just thrilled to feel a part of it. The Village of Rhinebeck looked so inviting to me. I used to live near there and I know how quaint it is. It was just perfect for her wedding. I know they went all out for the Clintons. I just cant put a price tag on it. But I want to say a big thank you to AOL for so many pictures and such a good cover story. I couldn't get this close to the wedding on my TV. Thank you very much !

I am very happy for this young couple whose parents are also regular good people who care about their children. The bride and the groom both know how to behave. May God give then strength to deal with the fickle members of the public, some of whom are unmercifully cruel. Chelsea and Marc; whenever you encounter a skunk; remember that the skunk can't help stinking. All of the rest of us good people love you.

I can't stand the Clintons. Don't like Bill or Hillary. Never did and never will. Although I dislike them I would never call their daughter ugly. To me she looks just like her mother. Hope Chelsea and Marc have a very happy life together. Wish them well.

Folks, give her a break-she cannot control the gene pool of her parents!! I am a conservative, and I stand for civilty in postings. Anyone who wishes BAD things to people are just pathetic, jealous, yes, evil people!! I hope she is as happy 10 years from now as she is today!! For all of you UGLO-Americans-keep off the board!! You know who you are-EVERY DAY, that you have to shave, brush your teeth ( maybe).

Who really cares. Lets get over this America. They have lived together for how long? And they finally made it official! Big Deal! They didn't make this much fuss about the Bush daughter or Amy Carter. Goes to show you the Democrats have to be in the lime light, except for Carter......LOL

How mean-spirited to judge the bride on her physical beauty. Shame on you! She did nothing to deserve this kind of nastiness. She seems to be a well-grounded, intelligent woman who is happy on her wedding day. Politics don't enter into this, and she's NOT "American Royalty". We don't have royalty here. Just wish her well and be done with it. If you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all.

I feel that every woman is beautiful on their wedding day. Look how happy she is, that's all that matters. It was her day and she deserved to feel beautiful no matter of our opinions.
