After many court delays and plea agreements discussions centering around an altercation with estranged wife Brooke Mueller last Christmas, Charlie Sheen will be avoiding jail time completely and instead checking into Promises rehab center in Malibu, California, UsMagazine reports. Sheen plead guilty Monday in an Aspen, Colorado court to a misdemeanor assault charge. As part of his plea deal, the felony charges were dropped.

The judge sentenced the 'Two and a Half Men' star to 30 days in jail but allowed the sentence to be "administered and executed" at Promises rehab center.

TMZ reports that Sheen might not actually have to spend any time in rehab. Sources close to the case tell the website that Sheen will get credit for time served, meaning he might check into rehab only to leave minutes later.
