Lady Gaga in Vanity Fair: 'I'm Perpetually Lonely'

Lady Gaga's monstrous fame has earned her the cover of the September issue of
Vanity Fair.
Inside the magazine, she talks about her relationships and how she feels she'll always be alone. "I'm perpetually lonely. I'm lonely when I'm in relationships. It's my condition as an artist," she says.
She is also a little paranoid about having relationships. "I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they're going to take my creativity from me through my vagina."
The singer also frankly discusses her battle with drugs: "I was completely mental and had just been through so much," but reveals that she is "terrified of heroin" and still does "mostly cocaine."
She admits to drug use, but strongly cautions her fans: "I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don't want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It's in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster."
How her mother responded: "All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I'll never forget it. And she said, 'I'm coming to get you.'"
Her grandmother's advice: "I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I've worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, 'I'm gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you're gonna stop crying, you're gonna pick yourself up, you're gonna go back to New York, and you're gonna kick some ass.'"

It takes confidence to be successful, if that makes her pompous, so be it. She's so talented and beautiful, I wish she'd stop wearing all those ridiculous getups and be proud of her natural beauty. And she hasn't mucked herself up with a bunch of plastic surgery.

I'm all for people being confident, but Gaga's attitude reminds me so much of Madonna at that age. It's like being a b-tch is cool. It's not. It will just leave you lonely, which is how Gaga says she feels in this very article.
Yuck, who wants to see that? Gross

I seriously hate how all these women are doing nude photoshoots. There's nothing "artistic", "empowering", or "sexy" about it. Whats truly empowering is being a WOMAN, not taking your clothes off, strutting like a tramp, and being a player around other men. You can be sexy with your clothes on as well. As for being artistic, there is a thing as nude photography but if you want to do that, that's fine as long as you keep to yourself and don't go showing the world about it. Save the nude for your loved ones. I may be 15 but still...I have sense about whats empowering for a woman.
P.S, I saw a pic of GaGa when she was in highschool and she was so beautiful. She doesn't need those outfits or so much make-up. Don't ruin your voice with that crap.

Honey you are never lonely. There are fan's and there are true fans that love you. I am one of them. So when ever you are lonely just remember there are people who truly love you. You don't know us either.

In my opinion, Gaga is the best thing since sliced bread. I think she is captivating, intriguing, bewitching, enthralling, spellbinding, magnetizing, hypnotizing and beyond edgy. (I was a little turned off by the "Alejandro" video because of the religious imagery and I believe some things should remain sacred). However, she does not fail to entertain. I have never been one to idolize any celebrity but I had a dream that Gaga was my girlfriend and I think she would be an incredible lover;) Many of the posts here seem to express such hate towards her but wouldn't the world be so boring if everyone were alike? In any event, I think loneliness is a character trait that the individual carries with them throughout their life, no matter how fulfilled they are. Don't be sad Gaga:( "When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on so long in the first place."
