Lindsay Lohan Released From Jail, Heads to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan is a free woman -- sort of.
The actress was released from jail after serving 13 full days of her 90-day sentence for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI. Lohan was freed early due to good behavior and overcrowding at the jail.
After leaving the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, the 'Mean Girls' star reported to rehab to fulfill the second requirement of her sentence -- that she spend 90 days in a full-time rehabilitation facility.
"She was released at 1:35AM. She has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center. And she will now be under the supervision of the LA County probation department. This concludes her custody," Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said, according to
PEOPLE.
Lohan was originally set to enter Morningside Recovery, but over the weekend, Judge Marsha Revel changed her mind, opting to allow Lohan to seek treatment at UCLA Medical Center,
TMZ reports.
"There was concern that [Morningside Recovery] was not a secure enough facility," the district attorney's office told PEOPLE.
Lohan will spend 90 days in rehab. After that, she will be on probation until August 2011.
Her legal woes began in June 2007, when she was taken into custody for suspicion of drunk driving and cocaine possession. Just a month earlier, she was arrested on another DUI charge.
Following her first DUI, Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving.

No not only in La, only in america!
It's a shame the spoiled brat didn't spend 1300 days of a 900 day sentence in jail! She wasn't in there long enough to learn a thing from it.

84 minutes spent on the first jail sentence for DUI and cocaine and then 13 days for the second DUI in 2 mmonths and violation probation. That is pretty good. I guess we all need to move to LA where the law really does not aplly to people. Oh wait, you have to be rich and been a somebody before you get special treatment. The rest of us would have served years.

Mike you really know nothing. No one does their whole time, she did not get out any earlier then anyone else would have. Our jails are filled and everyone gets out early, she did the same amount of time anyone would do. It is not right but it is the way it is, I know someone that was suppose to be in for 2 weeks for a minor thing, they were out in less then 48 hours. I am not on anyones side, but she was not given special treatment on being let out early. I do think she was given special treatment on her mother and friends seeing her during the week, everyone else can only visit on the weekend with just 2 visits.
Mike - what exactly did she do to you? Nothing. What did she to to anyone BUT herself? Nothing. She went to jail because the judge thought it was the only way to stop her spiralling down into total self destruction and the judge was worried she might take someone else with her on the way by having a DUI accident. Lindsay served the same amount as any non-violent offender would because she didn't hurt anyone else - 90 days in rehab is a long time, she won't get out of there early, I think being forced to stay there and in jail for 103 days is a harsh sentence for anyone to take, but let's hope it works for her like it did for Robert Downey Jnr - Lindsay could be a great actress if she can conquer her demons. 90 days in the hands of trained professionals and away from her enabling family members and so-called friends, is just what she needs. Good luck Lindsay, let's hope you can find some serenity there.
I share your opinion about the rich and famous getting better treatment than the rest of us. Overcrowding, give me a break, she was by herself. She should`ve had to spend the whole ninety days. She`s a danger to herself and whoever happens to be driving on the same roads as her. Let Ann or Abraxus lose a loved one to a drunk driver and I don`t think they would be so understanding.
My friend, you know rich people never paid what they did if you poor we will pay ever for the ride on the police car
You are right. This is not helping these priviliged brats because they learn nothing. Her stupid enabler mother should have been in a cell also. She will destroy herself because she will always believe she is above the law. For those who say she only hurt herself....think about it. She could have killed you, your mother, father, children, etc. I care more about those people that this spoiled brat. From someone who has personal knowledge what this kind of behaviour causes. Her mother would be singing a different song if a drunk or drugged driver had killed her.
corrupt law or what when you can buy your way out of jail. every day jo blo would b locked up then screwed with for yrs of probation she should rot in hell

someone said for such a minor thing. Why don't you read todays paper about the man and his sons who died yesterday in Orlando by a drunk driver that ran a redlight at a high speed. 13 days what a joke
Look at the original problem here because 90 days in the end sentence was of a lesser when the second offense was just as bad for her. I'd point out that she did have her own cell and brand new jail uniform sent to her. How was the food? Was this served the same way as the rest of the population. Did she receive the same treatment as the rest of the population? I do hope she gets help before something happens!!! Not a good role model.
Eye believe, even though her appearance does not look good right now, after rehab and probation she will have changed her ways and transformed into a good woman, knowing cocaine and cocaine dealers are her enemy, not only of her career, but,of her future children.

I can`t believe you can`t spell "I".
"Future children" Lord I hope not...They should tie her tubes, she should not be allowed to reproduce...
FUTURE CHILDREN??? Oh, God help us!!!
Unbelievable! A pat on the wrist regarding her jail-time. Perhaps Miss Lohan will learn SOMETHING about the dangers of alcohol while "incarcerated" at the UCLA Medical Center.

She'll learn that it's dangerous to run out of liquor when you have a thirst for it like she does. That's about all she'll learn.
Dead by 2012...
Well what'd'ya expect? They all know that unless she wants to change her ways - rehab most likely isn't going to help much, it'll just be a time filler, right? and that's why they call it Holly-weird.

I agree, Lindsay feels the court 'picked' on her as does her mother. I doubt she feels she 'really' did anything wrong and, if she did, it wasn't her fault because everyone else was picking on her also. For this reason, I doubt she will gain much from rehab other than a few months of forced sobriety. I think taking her mother out of her life would do her a lot more good.
I didn't even know it was possible to get a misdeamonor amount of cocaine for anything...and I am shocked! 13 Days is not simply not long enough to have a lasting impact on her. People with real abuse issues need more time to adjust and relate to their poor actions. She won't stop until she hurts someone-herself or anyone areound-very badly. My heart goes out to her manager and her publicist, they have their work cut out for them. And I am curious who got her out so fast the first? Any ideas...
