After a scant 13 days behind bars, Lindsay Lohan was released from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, in the early hours of the morning and transported directly to UCLA Medical Center. Her time in jail went by in a flash, but to get truly sober Lindsay's going to have to work for it, and more importantly, stay away from the bad influences that led her to this crossroads.Lindsay and her family wanted the star to serve her court-ordered three months rehabbing at the plush Morningside Recovery facility in Orange County; however, the judge thought this was a bad decision and worried that this facility wasn't serious enough (ie. that drugs could be easily passed to Lindsay there). Therefore, the locale was switched to reliably secure UCLA Medical Center.
"Lindsay is still so vulnerable after only 13 days away from her crazy life," a friend of the actress tells me. "Now, she will have three months to learn the skills she must learn if she has any chance of recovery. It's a super intense program where day after day after day, for the next three months, she eats, breaths and sleeps a life without drugs."

I don't know how successful this rehab will be. Lindsey needs it, but she is not going voluntarily-it was court ordered. When she gets out, she'll probably be back to all of her old habits. Her mother Dina needs a straight jacket and some counseling herself. She has been an enabler to her troubled daughter for way too long. She does not help her daughter at all. Its very sad that she never stepped in to help her daughter get sober, but instead continuously makes excuses for her.

Lin, I was just thinking the same thing. Lindsay is in denial, and she has plenty of people around her to help her stay there. She won't admit to even having a problem, so this three months will not help her. It will get her sober, but only until she gets out, and then she'll go right back to her old ways.
The only way an addict truly gets -- and stays -- clean is to first admit there is a problem. Without that, no amount of rehab works permanently.

holding that little twit's hand in some rehab for celebs is just going to make things worse. she needs to go to a facility where no one cares or is interested in who she is, keep her away from her dysfunctional family and enabling friends and make her look at herself.

The ONLY way Rehab will be successful for any addict is for that person to admit that there is a serious problem and that they truly want to get clean and sober and stay that way for the rest of their life
What a LOSER!!
She is just a spoiled brat who needs to do some real time for being such a screw up.
Hey, I screwed up when I was young, just was smart enough to not get busted all the time.

How is rehab suppose to work if she is released to the same environment that put her there?

She's 24, not 4. No environment can put her anywhere. It depends on where she puts herself. It's up to her.
I can not stand this no talent and narcissistic brat but I am not going to root against her so hopefully this works. If she screws up after this rehab stint, then lock her away for a year in gen prop. She has been given more than enough chances. Even though her parents are a few sandwiches short of a picnic LL is still an adult and should be expected to behave like one. No more excuses or breaks.

So vulernable, my foot. She is a time bomb waiting to go off, then watch out. She misses her family, she misses the booze and drugs. She will learn nothing from this. She will be back in jail before you know it. Loser

This brat needed another 3 months in the slammer. Rehab is just an interlude; she will be a wreck a month after leaving it. Do they have room for her mother?

After 3 months she will be back to the same old things. I give her 10 days after she finishes rehab-she will be busted again. She lives in a another world, wish there was hope for her but she is a time bomb waiting to go off.
Just goes to show we are all not treated equal. The legal system especially the judges SUCK!

The sheriff and/or warden let her out early, not the judge. They say because of overcrowding and she had "good behavior." The judge sent her directly to a stricter rehab to keep her away from family and other enabling influences. The judge seems to really care about helping her. She at least has a better chance, but statistically, when I was in Family Services, addicts fall off the wagon an average of 7 times before they stay clean.
Just another piece of hollyweird trash thinking her scat don't stink, can't wait for her overdose

What a horrible & truly ugly thing to say!
good luck Lindsay!! I hope you find a way to leave all the destructive forces (drugs, evil family/user friends in both senses) and live a happier more peaceful life. nobody deserves the horror drugs wreak on your life. if not this time then next time or the next or the next just dont give up hope you deserve to actually be happy!!

Kudos to the judge for sending her to a "real" treatment center. If someone had stepped up to other young stars who have overdosed in the past, they may have been with us today!

The Judge is the first person to care about a littte girl lost, not her folks, not her friends no one, just the Judge. Bravo to her, Lindsay does not know it now, but she will down the road. Enough enabling!
