Lindsay Lohan 'So Vulnerable' Heading Into Rehab

After a scant 13 days behind bars, Lindsay Lohan was released from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, in the early hours of the morning and transported directly to UCLA Medical Center. Her time in jail went by in a flash, but to get truly sober Lindsay's going to have to work for it, and more importantly, stay away from the bad influences that led her to this crossroads.

Lindsay and her family wanted the star to serve her court-ordered three months rehabbing at the plush Morningside Recovery facility in Orange County; however, the judge thought this was a bad decision and worried that this facility wasn't serious enough (ie. that drugs could be easily passed to Lindsay there). Therefore, the locale was switched to reliably secure UCLA Medical Center.

"Lindsay is still so vulnerable after only 13 days away from her crazy life," a friend of the actress tells me. "Now, she will have three months to learn the skills she must learn if she has any chance of recovery. It's a super intense program where day after day after day, for the next three months, she eats, breaths and sleeps a life without drugs."

The star's lawyer had argued for her client to have some time with her family before being sent to rehab, but in a surprise move, Judge Marsha Revel decided over the weekend it would be better for the troubled actress to go directly to the treatment center, where she will be under the supervision of the LA County probation department for the next three months.

"It's clear that the judge wants to keep Lindsay away from any destructive influences for as long as she can," a legal expert tells me. "This is the best chance Lindsay has ever had to save her life, the longer she stays away from bad influences and those around her who make bad decisions the better."

While holed up at UCLA, Lindsay will be taught how to make new friends and cut out those friends who are a bad influence. She will learn a whole new way to live. The only problem is, it's much easier to make new friends than family!

I know first hand that Morningside Recovery is a joke. My husband was there last summer and was able to hire a prostitute to visit him in his room. Some rehab they have there.

I too got better after being away from family for an extended time...there is much truth to what the judge is doing...the rest is up to Lindsay....Good Luck to her and I pray for the family healing as well. Recovering 21 years....

Lindsey has not hit bottom..Hopefully rehab will help but the perctage rate of people who go to rehab and actually getting recovery is very low..She also should have stayed in jail longer.
Celebs do not deserve special treatment , they can get behind a wheel of a car and kill just like anyone else..

I had a horrible alcohol and prescription drug problem until I FINALLY got diagnosed as bipolar in 2003, when I was 53 years old. I got meds (which do not make me high in any way) and I have been clean and sober, with no desire to drink or drug, for seven years. I wish I had been diagnosed sooner. I went to treatment three times and it didn't help at all. Looking back, I can't believe none of those professionals recognized my symptoms. They kept giving me various antidepressants, which didn't solve the problem. Ny doctor told me that a large percentage of people with mental ilnesses "self medicate" with drugs and alcohol, and I definately believe it.

The question is, "will re-hab help her?", No, only Lindsey can help Lindsey. It may keep her sober and I do mean maybe, but what rehab needs to teach more than any thing is that she is the only person that can drag her out of this. I wish her God's speed.

Lets hope and pray that when this little "train wreck" gets out of rehab, she does not take other lives with her when she plows her car into "something"? Gee, thats when everyone (not me) will say something should have been done to prevent this.

The judge is putting her through the same type of court ordered rehab program that convicted felons with drug charges have an opportunity to do. Believe me, it will be no picnic for Lohan. So far, the judge has not wavered and this impresses me... But will it work? I think that sooner or later, Lohan will at least get the message. She's going through more than Brittney Speers or Paris Hilton had to do and I think both of them were positively impacted at least a little... For instance, they both still do some fairly intriguing things now and then, but at least we're not reading about their insanity on a daily basis...

Actually I think the judge has a hard on for Lindsey and wants to rub her nose *in it* so to speak. Amazing what a little power does to a judge like this woman who is working so hard for Lohan's health and recovery...yeah right. I think the woman wants Lohan under her thumb while she can. This is such crap!! Leave the girl alone. It's her CHOICE. I have never seen an actor or actress other than MJ get ripped to shreds in front of the media as Lohan has been. It's not right. People are sick for doing it.

I wish Lindsay all my prayers and all the best. She is a lot stronger than anyone thinks. She's a fine person, and she will conquer this part of her life and leave it behind her. Hollywood and the movie industry is the thing that needs to be bulldozed off the face of the earth, considering the garbage it puts out. Lindsay, stand tall and keep your chin up, girl! Rehab is a joke!!!! She is suppose to make "new friends" at rehab!!! Great, make friends with a bunch of "junkies" that'll really straighten her out. Lindsay needs a kick in the azz and so does her mother. If it were you or me we would still be in jail and it wouldn't have been for 90 days. We would have ended up with a year or more and then rehab. Rehabs are full of counselors that just love to make power moves because they can. They threaten and degrade people. I really could give a bigger damn what happens to this spoiled rotten little beach!!!!
