Lindsay Lohan 'So Vulnerable' Heading Into Rehab

After a scant 13 days behind bars, Lindsay Lohan was released from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, in the early hours of the morning and transported directly to UCLA Medical Center. Her time in jail went by in a flash, but to get truly sober Lindsay's going to have to work for it, and more importantly, stay away from the bad influences that led her to this crossroads.

Lindsay and her family wanted the star to serve her court-ordered three months rehabbing at the plush Morningside Recovery facility in Orange County; however, the judge thought this was a bad decision and worried that this facility wasn't serious enough (ie. that drugs could be easily passed to Lindsay there). Therefore, the locale was switched to reliably secure UCLA Medical Center.

"Lindsay is still so vulnerable after only 13 days away from her crazy life," a friend of the actress tells me. "Now, she will have three months to learn the skills she must learn if she has any chance of recovery. It's a super intense program where day after day after day, for the next three months, she eats, breaths and sleeps a life without drugs."

The star's lawyer had argued for her client to have some time with her family before being sent to rehab, but in a surprise move, Judge Marsha Revel decided over the weekend it would be better for the troubled actress to go directly to the treatment center, where she will be under the supervision of the LA County probation department for the next three months.

"It's clear that the judge wants to keep Lindsay away from any destructive influences for as long as she can," a legal expert tells me. "This is the best chance Lindsay has ever had to save her life, the longer she stays away from bad influences and those around her who make bad decisions the better."

While holed up at UCLA, Lindsay will be taught how to make new friends and cut out those friends who are a bad influence. She will learn a whole new way to live. The only problem is, it's much easier to make new friends than family!

i dont think rehab will even make a differance to her. jail time wasnt even enough she still got special treatment in my eyes...if it was any other inmate they probably wouldnt have gotten out that early for messing up as many times as she has...i dont think she will even learn from this but i think the judge made the right decision in sending her straight from jail to rehab now. after that they need to place her on house arrest for a few months. if this doesnt help her shes gonna end up dead and we'll see on the news BREAKING NEWS: LI LO IS DEAD FROM AN ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE which will not be a surprise to me at all but its her death wish...sadly

You have to hand it to the judge. She knows what she is doing, and has done everything she can to help this poor girl. Making her go directly to rehab after jail was the smartest thing she could do. Keeping Lindsay away from her Mother was paramount. I hope she doesn't have contact with her family for the full 90 days.

I could care less about Lindsay. But why are drugs always illegal and why was she in jail at all. Rehb yes but enough of this heavy handed judicial and law enforcement pall which is ruing this country and wasting our tax dollars. Yes to legalizing drugs no to the vice squad!!

ive been thru it it is still day to day. LIndsey ya gotta want it hun. atleast "act as if" YOU ARE INTO RECOVERY it may just stick, at least that's my history.

Who, what, where, when, how and why is Linseed Lohand being hounded in the pages of this journal? What has she/it ever done to require so much electronic coverage? If she's a star then it must've been in a sky I never saw before. Give it up and if you can't find something worthwhile, positive, to write about, go flip some burgers for a decent, worthwhile living and leave the coke sniffers, hop heads and needle pushers alone. They're not worth writing much less reading about.

Until Lindsay decides that she wants to change, no amount of rehab. is going to help her.

As for her jail stay, I wonder if any regular person did the stuff she did, would we only have to serve 7 days out of 90? I,m thinking not.

WHY is the system coddling her....... what positive contribution has she made, in the last couple of years, to society ? ?

When will the "headline" space and concern for LL end? If she were anyone else, on a second offense, she'd be doing at least 90 days (that would be ALL of it also), probation, loss of license, AA meetings, etc. Oh, excuse me, I'm sorry, she's from Hollywood, isn't she?

Wow cant believe all the haters out there. Glad to know so many perfect people are in this world. The judge needs to get a child and raise her own and leave Lindsy alone. She has been charged with drunk driving nothing to do with drugs, why make her the example? But let ignorant people like Mel Gibson loose for all to deal with. If anyone needs rehab its Mel!
