Bill Cosby No Longer Laughing About Dying

Once again, Bill Cosby has died a Twitter death that never was. The iconic comedian fell victim on Monday to a fourth death hoax perpetrated and propagated on social media websites, and later called a live CNN broadcast to implore those responsible to quit their shenanigans.

"I don't want this person, or whatever, I don't want them to do this anymore," the 73-year-old Cosby told Kyra Phillips, filling in on 'Larry King Live.'

By Cosby's own account, this was the fourth time he has perished. The hoax took off after thousands of people repeatedly typed the term "Bill Cosby Died" in their short posts. Some bought it and gave shocked responses, yet more often than not, people just laughed it off as another hoax.

To Cosby, who has joked about past Twitter deaths, this hoax hit home because his family became involved.

"I found out when my daughter called the house," he said. She told him that friends and family were calling her crying. "Dad, people are calling me, are you all right?"

Cosby then had a message to anyone who knows someone that has started the rumors.

"Maybe psychiatrists will say I'm feeding this person's ego, but I just want to say to friends of that person, just tell them to stop. Because it isn't funny."

"Bill Cosby Dead" was last a trend on Twitter and Google back in February. In the past, he has quoted Mark Twain, saying, "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Cosby also addressed the reports on, you guessed it, his Twitter feed: "Emotional friends have called about this misinformation. To the people behind the foolishness, I'm not sure you see how upsetting this is."

Well of course you can't fix stupid, but I don't know why Cosby is having such a tough time with it! He knows it isn't true! But of course, just like his show, I'm sure some stupid, evil, fat, white person is at the bottom of it all!
Didn't you ever wonder why all the "bad" or "stupid" people in his show were white? He is one big perpetrator of racism!

Bill Cosby is r-e-t-i-r-e-d. In case you're retarded (which, judging by your post is highly likely), Bill Cosby had a very long and successful career that he chose to walk away from.

Have you had a show that was in the Top 20 for years? Have you won a Emmy, Golden Globe or People's Choice Award? Do you have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

If you can't cop to any of those, shut your pie hole.

his carreer must not be too dead, he is regularly doing shows of his fantastic stand-up that nobody but Bill Cosby could. I have laughed at and admired Mr. Cosby all of my life.
I believe most of these thread antagonists get people riled up just for fun and they use this type of forum to do it because they are annonymous and think they can escape the kharma, nope.
