Frank Sinatra III Attempts Suicide in Los Angeles

The reclusive grandson of iconic singer Frank Sinatra was hospitalized Monday evening after a suicide attempt at his home near Los Angeles, according to several reports.

Paramedics responding to an emergency call found Frank Sinatra III, son of Frank Jr., conscious after having consumed too many pills, law enforcement sources told TMZ, which broke the story. Sources close to the family told KTLA that the incident occurred around 5PM Monday.

Sinatra, 32, is currently being treated at Downey Regional Medical Center near Long Beach. His condition is unknown and family members are rushing to see him.

One family member, who identified herself as "Aunt Dorothy," told PEOPLE from Sinatra's hospital room that he was "doing okay" but "had a big setback."

"He's been having a very tough time," she said. "He's doing better now. We think he'll pull through."

Sinatra III is the son of Frank Sinatra, Jr., who in 1963 at age 19 was kidnapped and released two days later after his iconic father paid ransom.

Nothing wrong with anyone's math skills. It's your reading skills that need help. But hey, this reminds me of the time back ii the late 1960s PARADE Magazine printed that Tennessee Williams is gay and shortly after, when seeing Tennessee Ernis Ford on TV in a drom lounge I overheard some fool say "I just read that he's a queer!"

Your math skills are flawless, but your reading skills leave a lot to be desired. It was Frank Jr. who was kidnaped at the age of 19, not Frank the third, his son. The 32 year old who attempted suicide was Frank seniors grandson! His (Frank Sr's) son was kidnappted at the age of 19. Open mouth, insert foot?

I found that to be very confusing also. The grandson attempted suicide, his father had been kidnapped at 19. That's what happens when they pull that Sr., Jr. and 3rd stuff!

And you don't read well. Frank Sinatra JUNIOR was kidnapped at age 19. The person they are talking about is Sinatra Jr.'s son, III, and Frank Sinatra's grandson. He is 32 years old. Duh.

David, SinatraIII is the one who is 32, the one who was 19 in 1963 was Sinatra Jr. You need to go back and re-read that paragraph, you misunderstood it.

But still Emma, Its off, how would he be 32 now and kidnapped in 1963 at the age of 19? He wouldn't have even been born in 1963. If He is 32 he would have been born in 1978. This is why I only trust Perez Hilton for my info!
