George Clooney's Girlfriend Reveals Details About Their Relationship
George Clooney is a stickler about his privacy; keeping his private life private is something he cares about deeply. Which makes his girlfriend's candid interview in the latest edition of Italian Vanity Fair all the more surprising.
PEOPLE has a sneak peek of the interview in which
Elisabetta Canalis, the Italian model/actress who's been dating the movie star since 2009, opens up how Clooney pampers her, how supportive he is, and what it's like dating the world's most eligible bachelor.
"I am happy like I was when I was 18 years old. Those who criticize or invent stories about us are just jealous," Canalis said.

Is Clooney supportive?
"Very. He is always very close to me."
Does he pamper her?
"Like I have never been before."
Her description of Clooney:
"The person thanks to which my life has regained color. I feel good, I feel light. Like when I was 18 years old."
On how fellow Italians try to diminish their relationship:
"It might seem a cliché, but unfortunately it is true: the Italians never support their own citizens who earn an opportunity or a recognition abroad ... I don't expect to be celebrated, but neither do I expect the newspapers of our country to use as a reference point a gossip blog which is full of insults, racism and violence."
On the early skepticism that greeted their relationship:
"I did not feel offended: its absurd; there is no point in giving it any importance."
On jealous women:
"I have heard of women--even famous women--that due to this [relationship] removed his photo as screensavers from their computers. Maybe I am a bit stressed. But in the end the best revenge over these jealous people is to be happy. Because that is the thing they do not forgive you for."
On being happy:
"If you are loved, you always feel beautiful. It's the idea of being loved like this which really surprises me."

He has aged about 10 years since being with her. She must be a great enabler. Can't be her looks.

Did she mention any quality time burning American flags and trashing the USA that they spend together?

All of the above sound like they are jealous of Gorgeous George.
He is hurting no one, so let him live his life like he wants to.
Any girl that he happens to take up with know his reputation so Que Sera, Sera!

He isnt marrying anyone. Makes u wonder if he is gay. She is kind of plain like Robert Downey Jr.s wife. But if he loves her then that is all that matters. I doubt he will marry her. He is not the marrying kind.

Just who the heck is George CLOWNEY ?????
Such stupidity !! !

He's a highly overrated actor and according to the article, "the world's most eligible bachelor." PUHLEEZE! I could never understand the hoopla about him. He's not ugly, but he's not too far from average either.
George has been married, it ended in divorce and he said at that time he probably would never get married again.
Patty, just because a person never gets married is not a sign that they are gay. Marriage is not for everyone, just like having children is not for everyone.

Marge: He is gay.....
The haters- just too hilarious- as well as obvious in their insecurity(s). As if Gorgeous George cares what you think. Considering how unhappy so many marrieds are these days- how refreshing to see a mature couple like these two- not littering the world with kids they don't want- or putting us thru yet another high drama divorce- American style. Good for THEM.

She is just the flavor of the month. Let her get all her fame now, because one day you won't hear her name mentioned. Just like all the other flavors he has been through. I don't see him ever marrying. But why should he, he gets all the young babes or wanna be babes.

This statement alone, tells us why she's with him! "It might seem a cliché, but unfortunately it is true: the Italians never support their own citizens who earn an opportunity or a recognition abroad"
She's looking at him as an "opportunity or recognition". After all, he's a famous American. Get real...a woman that young has no other reason for being with an older man. We've seen it a hundred times. Yes George Clooney is attractive, but he also has money, fame and US citizenship - everything a young foreign woman who has nothing would want!

So they both get what they want: she gets fame in America, and he gets a luscious woman for as long as he wants. End of story.

How dare she talk trash about Jennifer Aniston!
Afterall, she's the one with the HORSE FACE!!!

I think his costar in "The American" Violante Placido, makes a better match for him. You could see the chemistry in the movie.
