'Real Housewives' Tired of Being 'Used' By Bravo

If you think being the star of a hit TV series with millions of viewers will make you rich, think again. Just ask the ladies of Bravo's 'Real Housewives' franchise.
"All the ladies have had enough of being used by Bravo and plan to start fighting back," a friend of one 'Housewife' tells me. "They are pissed that they only get paid $3,000 to tape each episode and are furious that they get paid nothing to tape the reunion episode. It's two full days of their lives with no lunch breaks and no pay. Everyone on the set is getting a paycheck except the stars. How can that be right?"
And it's not just the reunion shows that Bravo has added to the ladies taping schedule with no extra pay. Last week, executives decided that in order to breathe new life into its troubled 'Project Runway' parrot, 'The Fashion Show,' the 'Housewives' from New Jersey should make an appearance.
"None of the housewives wanted to be on 'The Fashion Show,'" one insider tells me. "However, the network insisted they film all week for hours and hours, and to add insult to injury, they got nothing in return. Not even a thank you."
However, the ladies have decided to fight back. First, the 'Housewives of Atlanta' took a stand -- getting together before taping their reunion show and all agreeing not to fight unless they got paid. It didn't work for them, but the resulting snore-fest made Bravo change its mind when it came to taping the New York reunion.
"I don't think it's a coincidence that the New York ladies showed up to duke it out and then delivered," a source close to production tells me. "Tell me Bethenny dragged her ass to the filming days after giving birth for free. No way. Bravo got so much from them. They turned it into a three-episode special and got their highest ratings for the New York series ever. So paying those girls was well worth it."
Now, with the New Jersey reunion taping today and tomorrow in Atlantic City, let's hope Bravo opened up its checkbook, because as one Garden State 'Housewife' explains to me, "Working for them is like slave labor. They might be able to make us show up, but if they want us to put on a show they better pony up the cash."

Now we see why this show isn't about any REAL Housewives . . because a REAL housewife wouldn't have stepped on the set without getting paid . . . and having it on contract.

Is Bravo a Zombie Voodoo Cult? Colonel Tom Parker must still be a member of "the living dead" at Bravo TV and screwing these Women, just like he screwed Elvis for 30 years.

The housewives sicken me. They are all so two-faced and fake. They are representative of conniving, backstabbing, cruel acting, and hypocritical women who befriend each other only if it serves to personally benefit themselves in one way or another. I had to stop watching the show. No real sense of sisterhood among those women at all. The only real one almost lost her mind from hanging around these mean-spirited pack of wolves. Their not worth the money they're being paid.

It would be nice if these so called "Housewives" were at least a little bit attractive!

I was wondering how a couple of the ladies are having money problems. Couldn't understand that.
How much is Bravo raking in on the backs of these women?

Why does anybody believe what is written here? Who are the sources? Which housewife talked to the writer? Aren't all of these women getting paid to be exhibitionists? Who cares if they don't get paid during the reunion show?

Can't they please just go away? Reality? Not!

These shows are ridiculous! They have no idea of what a real housewife is like.
They only represent the worst in human nature and seem to promote bad manners and behavior.
SHAME ON BRAVO! These shows do nothing to benefit humanity.

Glad to know it was all a show they are putting on. I don't watch it anymore anyway because the 'show' has gotten ridiculous now.

These woman are not "stars". Its ridiculous to call them stars. I would also like to say that Bravo made a huge mistake in getting rid of "Project Runway"!!! Their copy of this great show called the "Fashion Show", is just not as good as the original.

IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT, THEY SHOULD QUIT - THEY ARE THANKLESS WOMEN WHO MISREPRESENT HUNDREDS OF WOMEN WHO WOULD JUMP AT AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET PAID 3000.00 PER EPISODE - THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY COULD SAVE PEOPLE'S HOMES, PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE, PAY BILLS, CLOTHE THEIR KIDS, THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.

I think they should get paid for everything they do...Bravo is making money from all of us watching the show...

Who cares about Bravo. The station sucks and everything on it. I block the channel on my TV. Cheap station and crappy shows.

If the show producers and cast are getting paid, then the "Housewives should be getting paid. The reason there are so many reality shows on tv is because they are cheaper to produce. So at least give the so called stars of these so called tv shows a decent paycheck.
