'Dark Blue,' premiering Wednesday August 4 at 9PM on TNT, follows a team of undercover cops that are so good at their job, not even their own colleagues know how deep they are involved. Dylan McDermott (right) leads a team through many close calls. It got us thinking of great scenes in flicks where everyone from cops to informants to, yes, even drag queens, either came close to revealing their secrets or actually revealed them to the world.
The tension, the pressure, the close calls! They are what make undercover stories of any genre absolute nailbiters.Take a look at some of these classics, then post your own favorites below.

'The Silence of the Lambs'
Jodie Foster's Clarice Starling pretends like she's asking standard informational questions of Jame Gumb (the ever-so-scary Ted Levine) but soon he's on to her, turns off the lights and turns on his night vision in one of cinema's greatest shock scenes.
'Reservoir Dogs'
Tim Roth (below) does such a great job posing as a gangster that he even fools seen-it-all criminal Harvey Keitel. But that doesn't stop the truth from catching up with him during the epic and bloody final shootout. Watch the R-rated scene here >>>
