'Bachelorette' Brass Praying That Ali and Roberto Last

A record number of viewers tuned in to ABC this week to watch Ali pick Roberto in her final rose ceremony. However, no one was happier watching America's newest favorite couple find true love than the producers of the hit TV show, who are praying that these two make it.
"After the disaster of Jake and Vienna, everyone working on the show is nervous about what another failed romance would do to the show's franchise," a TV insider tells me. "If the public starts believing the 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' are just two more fake reality shows then it is over. The show desperately needs a success story fast in order to keep viewers coming back for the next season."
Which is exactly why show insiders tell me plans are already being made to televise Ali and Roberto's wedding live on ABC as fast as possible to remind the nation that the show is the real deal. The theme? That fairy tale endings do occur and couples that find true love do ride off into the sunset together. Plus, executives remember that the two-hour Trista and Ryan wedding back in 2003 was ratings gold, drawing over 17.1 million viewers to ABC.
"Ali and Roberto have to work in order to erase the Jake and Vienna disaster," an industry source tells me. "The show would be perfectly happy if we never heard Jake's name ever again. Which is why all its focus is going to be on Ali and Roberto and how happy they really are. Not on the fact that 15 out of 18 couples have broken up after the show wrapped."
Good idea, ABC. I'm just hoping somebody told Ali and Roberto about the wedding plans!

I don't think they will last, I give it 2-6 months. He will dump her. They are putting on a good act for now and for the cameras, just wait.

I agree ...a fake is a fake...and she is really good at it...the money must of been good for her to take more time off from her career.................
How do you know HE will dump HER??? Are you claiming to be psychic now???
Even if they are not acting and are genuinely attracted to each other, there is NO guarantee that their relationship is going to succeed outside the realm of t.v. land. How long has this couple known each other? Less than a year for sure, given the time it takes to tape the series and allowing for a few months afterwards. Sure, some successful relationships are "love at first sight" or lasting despite a short courtship, but most relationships take longer to mature and pan out. No one should be surprised that the majority of these couples from The Bachelor or The Bachelorette don't make it to the altar, ESPECIALLY considering the premise and process of how they met and got to initially know each other.
They were dating BEFORE the show!!! But, it made for good TV.
Watching them on Monday night, Ali was hanging all over Roberto ... kind of annoyingly so. Roberto does not look like he's as into Ali as she is to him and I will be very surprised if this lasts. I still think she should have picked Chris ... there may not have been as many fireworks there but the friendship they have is a great foundation and I believe he was truly in love with her (I don't feel that way about Roberto). Moving in together when you barely know each other, as they are doing, is a setup for total disaster. I hope they make it but doubt they will.

I agree with you l00%!!
Spot on!! My motto before the finale was this: if she's smart she'll choose Chris, if she's horny she'll choose Roberto... well we know what happened there!!
I agree, too! I was so sad for Chris! You could see his heart break! I haven't felt 100% about Roberto since the beginning. He's just too good looking - and a ball player to boot. Ali seems like a home-girl who should have been happy in Cape Cod with a big, handsome Cape-codder to cuddle up with! Roberto, perhaps as a ball player, may have too many groupies hanging around . . . Tell you what - I'd like to cuddle up with Chris on a crisp Fall New England night (or even his dad!). They both stole my heart!!
I agree ... ingredients for disaster ... they hardly know each ot her and they are setting up "house" or should I say "Playing house?"
She is rather immature still. Has no job & probably sees him as a meal ticket to stay on the West Coast.
Chris would have been the more mature choice. We shall see.
Ali is a Sweetheart while roberto is a ???, but he seems to love her. Lets hope for the best for both of them!!! God knows how much she gave up for doing this. I pray and wish the best for the bride to be.
Best wishes,
Suzanne Jones

She looks overjoyed, he looks tentative. This isnt happening in the long run. She went for the hottie and missed out on the gem....

HOTTIE??? I do not think Roberto is a hottie, unless you count hairy and sweaty as being a hottie.
Chris is way more manly, sincere, loving, caring and conservative a person.
She seems in "live" with "love" and the fame.
But as always ... "time will tell."
none of you know...they do not know...the future is the future and no one has been there yet got something else going in your relationship to keep it going first?

Aly cackled with that annoying fake laugh 65 times during the show and 18 times during the after the rose show. She is a phony from head to toe and if nothing else Roberto will be driven mad by her cackling and bolt...I give till the end of the year, at most

her laugh certainly was annoying, but put one of us in front of all those cameras and see how nervous we are, and how we handle it. i think most of it was nervous laughter
You have no life Bud. The fact that you even had the time to count how many times she laughed proves it.
Oh my gosh, that laugh was ridiculous! She really should focus on herself and increasing her maturity level a little bit before embarking on finding true love.
OMG I swore if I herad her laugh one more time I was going to throw something at the TV. Was there anything she didn't laugh at???
It's sad that people watch so much reality tv. I think more viewers need to spend more time cuddling with their own spouses and playing with their children if they have any. Keeping your own family on track is more important than worrying about some couple you don't even know.
