Lily Allen to Welcome Her First Child

British songstress Lily Allen is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, PEOPLE reports.

"Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child," the singer's rep said. "Lily's professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at the Big Chill this weekend."

Allen, 25, has dated Cooper, 32, for a year. She told Britain's Sun newspaper, "It goes without saying we are both absolutely delighted." The star suffered a miscarriage two years ago.

The 'Smile' singer recently told a British radio show that becoming a mom "is ultimately my main goal in life and more of a priority than flying around the world jumping up and down on stage singing songs."

Get married why? so the children get to watch dad cheat on mom. Scream and yell? Dad or mom never home because they escape life through their work. GET OVER IT. At least she WANTS to have a baby to share her love, that child will have no problems. I love Lily Allen, Congrats to her and the DAD.

you can't always plan when your going to have children nor is being pregnant before marriage new in the entertainment industry nor real life. a child is a blessing and even more treasured if you've had a miscarriage/stillborn/infant death previously as Lily had a miscarriage in January 08. leave her alone
