'The Biggest Loser' and 'Losing It With Jillian' trainer Jillian Michaels has not always been so confident about her physical self. The 36-year-old fitness fanatic reveals in the new issue of Parade magazine's Healthy Style that she went under the knife to rid her face of a nose that was "the size of a softball" and subjected her to cruel ridicule in middle school.
Michaels, who has admitted many times that she was an overweight child, says she once weighed about 175 pounds when she decided to have rhinoplasty to reduce her nose in an attempt to stop the bullying.
Michaels shared a "before" pic from her teen years with the weekly, revealing a heavier face and a nose that is much more prominent than the one familiar to her television fans.
"Once I was sitting at lunch and got surrounded by a bunch of kids who let me have it about how ugly I was -- my unibrow, the size of my nose, the fat rolling over my jeans. It was pure hell. My mother had to pull me out and enroll me in another school," she tells the mag.
"I had my nose done," Michaels explains. "I felt much better about myself. Plastic surgery is a very personal decision."

The abuse she suffered in school might explain why she enjoys torturing and humiliating people on TV.

Chappel you must be one of those overwieght lazy people that look at the show as tourture.....but she actually helps save lives if you havent noticed. the people are there because they want it, not because they are forced!

NICE! how generous of you to call names at someone you have never seen. btw: it's 'i before e except after c or sounded like a as in neighbor and WEIGH.
of course if i were you, i'd call you stupid for a mistake such as that...not chalk it up to a typo. now go off and play nice for a change.
Jillian is such a huge inspiration to so many people. I love how honest she is about her past struggles with weight, insecurities, and even cosmetic procedures. I hope she realizes what a beautiful woman that she is--inside and out.

I don't think she is trying to torture or humiliate anyone, she does have a tough personaility that may stem from her childhood. I think she has the tough love principle at work, which is what some people need. Everyone's different, but I for one have a lot of respect for her and what she does.

Can't stand her shallow, self-righteous "persona." She says she won't have kids because she's afraid it would "ruin" her figure. Yikes. Not being able to put the kids 1st first means at least she knows she's not parent material.
