Let's Clear This Up: Justin Bieber Emerges as the New Face of Proactiv

Justin Bieber seems larger than life, but in truth he's just like any other teen: He gets zits.

The teen sensation has signed on as the latest pitchman for Proactiv. Bieber joins the ranks of Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Williams, Jenna Fischer, and Julianne Hough as the face of the acne-treatment system.

"I'm definitely someone who suffers from acne," Bieber says on Proactiv's site. "I'm a teenage boy! So I use Proactiv so my face doesn't get like that. Proactiv is a great thing!"

The 16-year-old heartthrob seems to be reaching for the "just a few zits" crowd in his promo (below), in which he's shown in the recording studio and hanging with "pals" on the basketball court.

Bieber talks about the good and bad parts of the teen years, such as his rapidly growing feet ("I can't stop that"), hormones ("I don't want to stop that!!"), and a little acne ("I can stop that!").

"I used to think that Proactiv was only for the hard-core cases," Bieber says. "Guess what? It's also just right for kids like me."

Bieber also says that being honest about his skin was a way to connect with his rabid fan base: "This is kind of a way I can give back to my fans, by letting them know I use Proactiv... My fans already know I'm just a regular kid, except the stuff about my life that's not regular... like performing to thousands of kids and always being in the spotlight. But I know that for a teenager, it doesn't matter how many people are looking at you, you don't want acne on your face."

One out of every four kids these days are not graduating from high school. This Justin Bieber kid and his no-talent example of what youth should be doing instead of studying is one reason why. This kid is a horrible example of the kinds of dreams sold to today's youth that are basically meaningless hype. This kids real problem is not zits, its the hollow space between his ears.

Is he even old enough to get zits? Seriously though, the people at Proactiv know what they are doing. He may not have a problem with acne, but only have a couple mere pimples here and there, if any at all. What they are doing is using him so millions of his little female fans will be their parents to buy it "because Justin uses it and says it works". They are not dummies. Sales are going to skyrocket. Advertising has been up to this old trick for years... How poetic is this anyway? His career is going to last about as long as a puberty breakout.

nice to see there are several people that do not follow what is popular. Justin, Lady Gaga whoever that was that finished third in Idol have such little talent and yet the the mindless teens so gullible that believe what they see on t.v. must be special go crazy.
