Rod Stewart, Wife Expecting Another Baby

Looks like there will be another little rock star on the way for Rod Stewart. The rock legend and his third wife, Penny Lancaster, are expecting a baby. "We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy's 40th birthday," the couple told PEOPLE.

Stewart has five other children from previous relationships, in addition to a 4-year-old son, Alastair, with Lancaster.

Last year, Stewart told the British press that he and his third wife, 38, were hoping to add more children to his brood.

"Yes, we're trying -- we actually tried last night!" Stewart exclaimed on the British talk show GMTV. "One more and then we're going to close the office."

The joys of fatherhood appeal to the British-born rock legend. "He's just a sweet kid at the moment," said the adoring dad of his son Alastair.

Stewart and Lancaster wed in Portofino, Italy, in 2007.

65 is too old to be fathering children. These Hollywood types have to realize that the men have an "expiration date" too!

I think it is great to see that today people dont look at age the way they used to, they do not feel old , they still have the courage to love and to make thinsg happen. and if they have the means to have another child then thats wonderful news.
I once met a lady 92 years old that still had a boyfriend ,I really admire their strenght to live . Life is beautiful and age is in our head . Thank God for change in times and in mentalities.

My mom's 85 and still golfs everyday during the summer...age is what you make it...and you're never too old to be able to love someone whether it's a significant other or a child...I think it's great...too bad you're on a schedule

God made it possible for men to father children no matter how old they are. Us women are the ones that have an expiration date as far as having children. Well, naturally, anyway, without the help of medical care.

I am quite sure he is well aware his money is of primary importance in the relationship and he is happy to buy her anything she wants. what good is money if you do not use it to get what you want in life. Beautiful young wife , big house , luxury car, that is what life is all about.

When a wife looks like her, a man will give her all the babies she wants! Yes, Rod Stewart is the famous, weatlhy one, but when he looks at her, he must think "I'm so in love with her. Well since I can't have babies any more, I guess she will have to do it for me.. LOL.. Congrats to them both. I have loved Rod since I was in my teens, that's been a long long time.. and I still do. He is a talented entertainer, has a wicked sense of humor, and he just looks better and better with age!

In the movie "Moonstruck," Mrs. Castorini asks Johnny Cammareri why men cheat. "I don't know," he says, "maybe they're afraid of death." Mrs. Casgtorini exclaims "That's it, that's the reason." Same with old men having kids. They don't want to be a grandpa, that sounds too old and to close to death. So they father kids and think they're young. Sorry Rod, ol' buddy, ol' sock (ol' man), "you're gonna die, just like the rest of us," as Rose Castorini so delicately put it. Only thing is, you're gonna leave behind a young son or daughter without a dad.
