Brigitte Bardot Fights Planned Biopic: 'I'm Not Dead!'

Iconic French film actress Brigitte Bardot is furious over plans to produce a film based on her life. Kyle Newman, producer and director of the project, has tapped his wife, actress Jaime King, for the unauthorized role. "A film about my life? But I'm not dead!" Bardot commented on French radio today, UK's
Guardian reports. "They wouldn't dare do it without talking to me. If they do, sparks will fly."
In recent years, Bardot, who left her film career in 1973 to become an animal rights activist, has been most famous for her outspoken and polarizing statements on topics ranging from French immigration and race-mixing to homosexuality and Islam. She has been fined five times for "inciting racial hatred." It is unclear whether the proposed film would include this controversial period in her life.
Newman's 'Bardot' project signals a change of pace from the director's earlier work. His 2008 film 'Fanboys' -- the director met his wife, Jaime King, on set -- follows a group of 'Star Wars' fans on a mission to Skywalker Ranch to steal a copy of 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.'
Don't expect the biopic to continue without an escalated fight from Bardot, whose radio interview provided an endless series of sound bytes. "I have the courage of my convictions. I don't beat around the bush and I am about the only one who doesn't in this bloody country."

The pic on this article is indeed BB. I can't understand how many people confused her with Ursula Andrews who, by the way, is much better preserved. BB was a social phenomenon that changed forever the image of women. That long unruly hair and tight jeans began with her and if you look carefully at the gallery provided with the article you will notice how EVERYBODY, including Madonna, have been influenced by the Bardot mystique. I'll always respect her because she was AN ORIGINAL.

Everyone quit the snarky remarks. You are wrong. This is a photo of BB and NOT Ursula Andress.
Google Bardot 2007 Sarkozy. You will see photos of BB after a visit with the French president (some of which show her on crutches.) She is wearing the same blue linen suit as in this photo. I doubt if the French photo corps would confuse BB with UA, even if a bunch of Americans have.
When you are right, you're right, but when you're wrong...! I don't expect to see many apologies, but I bet these editors have pretty thick skins. And try Googling Ursula too to refresh your memories of her, and to see her today. BB and UA aren't all that similar, even though they are both elder sex goddesses.

It is amazing to me how so many ignorant people speak as though they know what they were talking about... This is Bardot. Keep your mouths shut is you don't know what you are talking about.

To you and the other idiots, this is not the picture that was posted yesterday. That one was most definitely Andress. AOL changed it without any retraction. I'll keep my mouth shut when you start using your brain.
rode very, very hard, and still wet YUK!

it is Bardot not Andress I suggest you guys do a google .
Andress has a higher forhead and always has her hair pushed away from her face as for Bardot she likes the messy look for her hair .

The picture is all Bardot and doesn't even at the slightest look like Ursula Andress lolol.......Bardot is still pretty but could even be still stunning if she wanted to. An incredible lady.

Wow. Only one person (Holly) must have bothered to actually look at pictures of Bardot today. This picture is without a doubt Brigitte Bardot, not Ursula Andress. Just go to Google Images and you'll see.
The authors got it right.

It most certainly IS BB--the more recent picture and the younger picture of her with dark hair. I've seen this one before, and it is undoubtedly Brigitte Bardot. She's in her 70s or something now. Ursula Andress's pictures of her do show her to be "more preserved," or she's had cosmetic procedures done. No crime. BB has not had anything done, so she looks her age. No crime, either. I like her causes and her audacity for sticking to her ideals.

When I think of Brigitte Bardot I go back to the 1950's when she made a couple of movies that we all lined up to see. Was living in Boston then and they almost did not show it there. This was ne of the first movies where some one ran across the screen naked. That was Brigitte Bardot. Really don't remember the movies, I think one was God Created Women, don't remember the other.
Of course now we see a lot more skin than was ever shown then. Those were the days when a couple in a movie could not sleep in a single bed.
