CBS announced last Thursday that pop star Justin Bieber had signed on to play a troubled kid in an upcoming episode of its hugely popular crime drama 'CSI.' Producers were so excited about his appearance, they've decided to give him a multi-episode storyline. He will guest star on the show's Sept. 23 season premiere and return for the fifteenth episode of the season, which will air in Feb. 2011, Hollywood Life reports."He plays Jason McCain, a troubled teenager who is faced with a difficult decision regarding his older brother," CSI executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says of Justin's dark new role.
"We think he's this really good kid who's put in this very bad situation. But we will get a glimmer at the end of the [premiere] that perhaps he's not the good kid we thought!"
"Every 20 years, a phenomenon like Justin Bieber graces our world. We'd like to believe that the phenomenon of CSI has had the same impact on popular culture. The opportunity to bring them together in the premiere is a great treat for our audience and all of its new viewers," said creator Don McGill, writer Carol Mendelsohn and producer Anthony Zuiker in a statement. "This will be true event television."

wow. i agree with slivers. you all are JEALOUS. you can't get over the fact that he can sing amazing, he can dance, that he has better looks than all of you, and that now he is starting to act? wow.. if you don't like him so much stop reading stories about him! and stop saying he looks like a freaking girl! he doesn't even look like a girl. and stop saying that he can't sing and that he can't act and that his career is going to be over soon cause he's going to be on CSI. he isn't staying famous because of you older people, he's staying liked and famous because of 12- 16 year olds listening to his music and watching him on tv. so give it up all you haters.

I beg to differ.
I'm seventeen, and think he's a joke! Give it a year, and see how this plays out. This is just sad. I have seen one of his video, something about a lonely girl. I couldn't believe my ears or eyes, I was laughing so hard!
a little funny

It's no secret that CSI's ratings have slipped over the years. Now it appears they have officially "jumped the shark." The end is near. RIP CSI.

Yah, I'm a huge CSI fan, but bring back Grissom and Lady Heather for some episodes.
my favorite episode, "fur and loathing".(single episode) and all of the lady heather episodes, also "last laugh". that was fun.

I think the people that do not want him on the show, and saying mean things are really immature. Just because he's gonna be on the show does'nt mean you have to stop watching it. It's just plain stupid. I love Justin and I think he's gonna do great!

I watch CSI NY...I know there are others.
Why doesn't the article say which CSI show they're talking about. I don't care, as long as its not NY.

I am a major CSI fan-or at least I once was. The first eight seasons were wonderful, the rest, not so much. The show took a big turn with Sara leaving and then Grissom-that just ruined it! Now they are trying to make it better with these soon to be washed up current 'pop sensations'. I am 17, and laughed at one of his video's that I saw on Youtube, it was ridiculous! I feel bad for all those fangirls-they clearly don't know what good music is.

Ick. The Mythbusters appearance on CSI was much better.

I get a kick out of these loudmouth guys condemning Justin like they do Pres. Obama. This kid might not be great at anything, but he's good enough at EVERYTHING to deserve his popularity!

Why????? Kids dont watch this show. Why not give the viewing audience someone they would like? We dont care about this telentless kid. He is just another (product) of the pop music industry. They need to find a new one every few yrs. It isnt about talent anymore. it is more about making money from the brainwashed youth of today who have been fed this kind of garbage. They dont know any better unfortunatlly, because this is all that is offered to them by the media.
But please...Dont put this crap on one of the FEW TV shows that is worth watching...

The way DisneyH/ollywood pushes these young kids out to the word is sick. Sexualizing a person that young is nothing but child pornography! STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT! Let them be children for goodness sake!
