Rihanna's Tattoo Typo: Lost in Translation

Whoops! Looks like Rihanna should have consulted your high school French teacher before getting her latest tattoo. The music superstar's newest ink reads "rebelle fleur," but someone forgot to tell the 'Rude Boy' singer that in French, adjectives typically follow the nouns they modify. To translate as "rebel flower," which we assume is what she intended, that tattoo should read "fleur rebelle."

But Rihanna isn't the first star to find herself stuck with a permanent stamp of linguistic inaccuracy. Just ask Hayden Panettiere and Coolio.

Panettiere got "Vivere senza rimipianti" -- Italian for "to live without regrets" -- tattooed down the left side of her back. However, she forgot to break out the dizionario Italiano (that's an Italian dictionary), because "rimipianti" (regrets) is correctly spelled "rimpianti." Somehow, an extra "I" found its way into Hayden's tattoo.

And as for Coolio ... well, he was just trying to be a nice guy. Doing his best to show his support for tour mates Insane Clown Posse, the rapper tattooed "Jugalo Cool" on his bicep as an homage to ICP's fans, who refer to themselves as "juggalos." For his part, Coolio told TMZ that the typo was on purpose and that he has no intention of fixing it.

We still think Rihanna takes the cake on this one, though. After all, her grammatical folly is right there on her neck for everyone to see.

I agree about the "Ronald McDonald" red hair. Why does anyone think this hair color is attractive? Maybe the different color hair dye she has applied every other week has affected her brain!

Personally, other than a little, tiny tattoo on your ankle or wrist, I think tattoos on women are tacky. I will be glad when this trend is over.

W-H-E-N are women going to STOP this "TRASHY TREND"? It still makes me "sick at my stomach" to have to look at these "skin posters"! Men used to resist getting them and used to "hide" them more...until "WE women" began "putting up with the PURE T-R-A-S-H-I-N-G of our bodies!!! Why don't you get a "semi-permanent tattoo (?) first...so you can live "TRASHY" for a little while and see if you really LOVE it!? I know of people that absolutely c-a-n-n-o-t afford these expensive "TRASH-TOOS"...but will have their kids "do without good food, etc.", just to be able to go get a "NEW T-A-T"!!! No wonder our nation is in the "BLACK HOLE" it is in right now!!!

I think its really sad that you are so closed minded that you cannot accept other peoples ideas of what makes them beautiful and unique. People like you who rant and rave about people with tattoos are far more ignorant and "Trashy" then those of us who have tattoos. For many people a tattoo is a representation of a person/event/milestone in their lives. Its a daily reminder of something. I think its trashy that your such a hate filled and agry person. Tattoos are not what make a person trashy, their charachter is what makes a person trashy.
