'So You Think You Can Dance' Winner, Plus Ellen DeGeneres Rocks Out

Last night, the final episode of this season's 'So You Think You Can Dance' named its winner. But before we get to that, let's talk about the show's extra special (and unexpected) guest. Ellen DeGeneres showed up for a special performance with Twitch, and did a hip-hop dance routine. Then, we finally learned who the actual winner of the show was. It was down to Kent and Lauren. Lauren Froderman had all the right moves on 'So You Think You Can Dance,' so viewer votes awarded the 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Phoenix the title of "America's Favorite Dancer" and the $250,000 grand prize.

Froderman bested 18-year-old runner-up Kent Boyd of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and 19-year-old third-place finisher Robert Roldan of Thousand Oaks, Calif., on the Fox dancing contest's live finale Thursday.

"I have been working my whole life for something like this," Froderman said.

The bubbly contemporary jazz dancer was best known for her ability to pick up other styles, effortlessly taking on hip-hop, ballroom and Bollywood routines throughout the seventh season. She also deftly tackled a wardrobe malfunction -- a dangly broken dress strap -- while performing a Broadway number during the third week of competition.

Before Froderman's crowning, the finale featured performances from dance troop Quest Crew, 7-year-old tap dancer Luke Spring and a duet between hip-hop dancer Stephen "Twitch" Boss and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The former 'American Idol' judge held her own in the fast-pumping, therapy-themed routine set to 'Outta Your Mind' by Lil' Jon and LMFAO.

"As a joke, I said this would be fun to do," said DeGeneres.

I have seen the Ellen show a few times. She seems to always start it off with a dance around the studio, and or stage.
Shes great at it. Go Ellen !!!

I love Ellen. Her shows are funny and interesting. However their is only one part of her show I don't like. I think I am the only one who thinks this way. I even hate to say it but ummm, I hate the way she dances. Am I the only person who thinks she looks like a dork when she does? I can't dance either and know that is one thing that everyone likes about her but ummm I hate that part of the show.

it was a great show Kent was so dorky and cute loved him but
Lauren was so good, she was in everything she danced so happy
she won. Kent was a sweety though both him and Robert were
good, they had a wonderful show this year and a great bunch of
dancers and they are always good sports about it, they know not
all can win, and always pleased of whoever gets picked love this
show and the judges are very good too. Ellen was just a extra
laugh on there, she did great and she is so funny, loved it.
