@ tothepoint, even more to the point, the kid is the one ultimately being cheated. When a single parent uses a surrogate to get a child, that child is being cheated out of a mother or father. The same is true for same sex unions.

It's not BIOLOGICALLY possible for two men to be expecting twins.

Maybe you should look up the word "surrogate" in the dictionary. It means that someone else is having the babies, and then giving the two men custody, rather than putting the kids up for adoption.

I have to agree with John. The children are the ones who get shortchanged when gay couples decide to "have" children. They are cheating these children of a normal--yes, I said normal, family union. They will not know a mother AND father. They will know two fathers. A mother is the nuturing part of a family. I can't imagine my life without my mother and I am pretty sure my children would say the same. I am sure to get slammed by gay couples but frankly, I don't care. I am sure these are two very nice guys. I know several people who are gay that and I would say the same thing to them. Gays gets so upset when we say the word "normal" but if we were supposed to be gay or have children we would have both sex organs.

bgs - Millions of children are raised without a mother and 10 times that are raised without a father - there is always a more nurturing role in a same sex relationship. Life goes on. Children turn out fine.

@Pat - you seriously think all those millions of fatherless children out there are turning out "fine"? Never mind the cold hard facts that over 70% of black children have no father in their lives and black young men end up in prison in proportinately greater numbers than any other ethnicity. Yeah, I'm sure that not having a father in their lives didn't have anything to do with that.

Are you really that slow? Apparently you aren't aware that heterosexual men don't give birth either but that doesn't keep them from bragging that they are expecting children now does it? In addition to the fact that recent studies have shown that children with gay parents are actually better adjusted than children from straight married couples. Not that the religious crazies will ever believe that.

It's entirely possible for two men to be expecting twins. They could as easily be expecting a pizza to be delivered or for Halloween to roll around. Unless they undergo expensive and experimental surgery, neither one can be "pregnant."
