Michael doesn't think host Matt Lauer ambushed her, as Dina believes (according to a family friend), and Michael tells me exclusively that Dina has "failed miserably with Lindsay" and just needs to admit her failure (and also stop saying they've been split for 15 years)."Matt didn't ambush Dina. If anything Matt was easy on her. Dina hardly gave him a chance to ask questions and when he did, she didn't answer them or just lied," Michael Lohan tells me.

To say that Mom Dina was a "mess" on the Today show is an understatement. She acted like a 13-year-old who was intent on getting her way. No wonder Lindsay is such a mess! The Dad is off the charts certifiable, too. She should divorce her parents and put herself up for court-appointed adoptive parents. AND we are sick of hearing about the Lohan's too!

There's no wonder why this poor girl is so messed up. She is in reh-hab to because she was on a down hill spiral trying to escape the world her parents created. There was nothing okay and safe about her world and her parents did not protect her. They were too selfish trying to BE RIGHT. I was swaying on Michaels side for once and then he had to get out there and sit on somebody else's panel. (I don't even have to watch the stupid interview!) The fact is... he could have taken the higher road...Obviously Dina was totally wrong. But Michale has to get his butt on every interview out there that will hear him hear his side... When will they see that it's NOT all about THEM??? And their selfishness is what has gotten Lindsay in this hot mess? If they had worked as a team and put their differences aside the world would be much more sympathetic!

I saw the "Today" interview with Dina and Michael is right this woman is in denial, denial, denial. But there were two omissions, first the woman is dumb as a rock and secondly he failed miserably right beside her.

If Lindsey were younger, the courts could help her by putting her in the care of SOMEONE not a parent. At her age she is considered an adult and it would be hard for anyone to decree that she not see her mother. (they've taken care of the dad.)

I have a very hard time with these people. They actually think they are the stars. Father is jealous of the Mother, the mother is jealous of her daughter and is constantly hogging the spotlight. Have either of them done anything except have this little girl in their whole lives. Are they million dollar successes?? Does this girl have a grandparent or someone who is not interested souly about her money.

What a terrible father. If he didn't have anything good to say, he should have just kept his mouth shut. His daughter has enough to worry about without him degrading her on top of everything else she is going through. People need to give her a break and let her try to rehabilitate herself. She is a great actress that has not grown up yet. Hopefully she will learn by her mistakes, like all of us, and get on a better path in life. Someone needs to encourage and have faith in her.

u know, yes, lindsay is a loser. but who made her that at their expense? can we say DINA? what a loser! and now she is talking about her son in the business? god help the kid. she needs to have child services take her kids away for child endangerment. the other three are underage. god forbid we need to hear they are being used to satisfy her hunger for fame and fortune. Must be easy to wife bash how the kids were raised from the perspective of a very "part time" father. Heck I bet I could be a perfect parent 1-2 days a month too!
I'm not saying Dina's all that and a bag of chips but for this absentee father to have such opinions is unbelievably conceded.
And again, I'm amused by all the people out there that think their kids success/failure as an adult somehow has something to do with them as parents. Get a grip! Your adult, and pre-adult kids have been making their own choices based partly on family influence and partly on friends influence for years. Just like your failures are not your parents fault, your kids failures are not your fault. Once your an adult, or very close to that age, you're responsible for yourself!

I feel Dina and Michael Lohan have made Lindsay the way she is at this point in time.
People like those two should Never Have Children.
As for Dina, for her Money and fame is the most important in her life. She always used to party with Lindsay, and drink with her, even though she must have known Lindsay's problem with alcohol.
The same goes for Lindsay's father, Michael. The only interest for both parents, I feel, is Lindsay's money and how she can make more. They don't care about their daughter. What a shame.
My heart goes out to Lindsay. Some time one have to say enough is enough and give the girl "tough love". I feel the time in jail was a good thing, however, the time in the Rehab where drugs and alcohol ran rampent, was Not Good.
Hopefully, this last rehab will help her.

L. L. is an adult now. Maybe she did not have the best parents in the world, but Michael is at least admitting it now. He also is willing to admit Lindsay is wrong & I believe he wants to help her. Her mother, Dina, I don't understand her thinking at all. I think she was on drugs or had been drinking on the Lauer show. I hope Michael can help his daughter.
