On the September cover of SELF, Beyonce steers clear of the magazine's typically sporty cover looks in a glam coral-pink, curve-hugging dress. Hey, when it's Beyonce, you're bound to make a few exceptions.

Sporting long locks and dangling earrings, the star opens up to the magazine about her charitable work.

"I've always felt that you should give because it's what you can do to help," says the founder of the Beyonce Cosmetology Center and The Survivor Foundation. "You don't do it to get praised. For a long time, being quiet about what I did was a conscious decision."
