Report: Newly Divorced Star Fred Armisen Dating Young 'SNL' Costar

Fred Armisen has been linked with 'Saturday Night Live' costar Abby Elliott, with Life & Style reporting he's officially dating the actress, who is two decades his junior. This news comes just days after Armisen's split from 'Mad Men' star Elisabeth Moss was revealed; the married couple separated in May after 10 months of marriage in what was termed an amicable separation.

Armisen, 43, joined 'SNL' in 2002; Elliott, 23, came onboard in 2008. Of the new couple, a source tells Life & Style: "After the split, Fred sought comfort in Abby. They just started dating a few months ago. Fred and Abby are getting to know each other in a romantic way and taking things slowly. But they're enjoying each other's company. It's early days."

A friend of Moss tells Life & Style she "is doing great and focused on 'Mad Men' and is enjoying the single life. This news won't even phase her."

With news of the split last week, a friend close to Armisen and Moss told PopEater: "They have been having trouble for a while. Both want to stay friends, but at the moment that is proving very hard. Friends fear they fell in love and got married way too fast -- they didn't have a chance to get to know each other and learn to live together. Everyone is hoping this separation makes them realize how much they love each other."

Regardless of whether or not Moss is willing to publicly admit it the fact that someone she married LAST SUMMER apparently no longer cares that she exists in any real way must make her feel mighty small and mighty foolish.

Fred seems more than a little flakey; Abby, you can do better than this. The fact that he is exiting a marriage that is only ten months old and is immediately out on the prowl are two very big signs that this is not a good plan.

Amen to that. Jealousy is an ugly trait. This guy is a success, so is she. They probably know best what's good for them. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Hate on SNL all you want, name a show that currently on that stands a snowballs chance in .....of being on the air in say, 5 years? It's shown the test of time.

Whatever John. Pointing out that many of these celebrity types prove time and again that they have no clue what's "best" for them has nothing to do with jealousy, it's simply established fact, so you need to get a clue where that's concerned and perhaps deal with your own insecurities.
