Teresa Giudice Blames Bravo for Financial Woes

Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe owe creditors nearly $11 million in various debts, and the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star blames her fame for why she's still bankrupt.

"If she wasn't on the show, this all would be much easier," a friend of Teresa's tells PopEater.

"Everything would be settled by now, but because she is now famous everyone is using the situation to get press for themselves and humiliate her and her family. It's honestly got to the point where she's not sure if she wants to come back for another season."

A few days ago, new evidence proved the couple went on a $60,000 shopping spree not long after they filed for bankruptcy.

Teresa and Joe bought $8,800 curtains and spent $45,000 on wall hangings, mirrors, frames, tables and chairs, while at the same time trying to convince a Newark federal bankruptcy judge to stop the August 22 auction of their personal belongings. Judge Morris Stern refused to stop the auction, but postponed it until Oct. 3.

"Teresa is sick of everyone knowing all her private financial business," an insider tells me. "She didn't sign up to be on 'Housewives' so that everyone could look into her bank account. Millions of couples go through what they are going through, except no one knows about it. It's just not fair."

Is it really necessary to call them horrible things. It's just a tv show people. Really get over your high and mighty selves. Everyone knows the Real Housewives are just something to laugh about. We don't need to sit here and judge them or for heaven's sake bring the children in on it and saying their ugly. That is just uncalled for. It's a show, their there to entertain us. Yea they have financial trouble, alot people in America do right now. Their just choosing to show theirs on national television. Let not judge ye be judge and all that good stuff. Really those four little girls are precious.

I agree with you! I can't stand this fake woman BUT don't agree with saying nasty things about her kids. I think her kids behave poorly, the run the show and her, and they are spoiled but I don't think we should attack their looks. They are little girls.

It seems to me Teresa and her husband were purposely maxing out credit cards and spending carelessly on expensive parties and jewelry with the full knowledge that they would be filing for bankruptcy. Shame on them.

It's reaaly very arrogant of Teresa and Joe to pretend that they were financially stable. The constant spending while others are suffering is so sickening and I wouldn't feel sorry that they are finally forced to open their eye. Celebrities give back and not flaunt their hard earned riches on a reality show, unless they're washed up or scandulous!

The horse has already left the barn... even if she doesn't go back to the show she's still "famous" and her story will be followed until it's dead and buried.

I live in the same town as Teresa. She keeps a pretty low profile here. I feel bad for her and the kids because I believe Joe didn't tell her about their financial problems until it was too late. The article is correct though, so many people are going through a financial crisis like this - only it's not being played out in the media. There are 11 houses here going up for bankruptcy auction - hers is not one of them.

Yes, we are all going through rough times right now, but 11 million in debt is way to much. You have to know that if you are making 79,000 a year you can't spend more than that a month on silly items for you house. That to me is just stupid

If she was in the dark about their finances it's because she wanted to be and I don't believe that for one minute. She is nothing but trash that had money for a while. The house they built is so ugly, what a waste. She has no taste at all. Hope they lose everything and they have no one to blame but themselves. Stupid is as stupid does and that saying applies to people like her. If you watched the show she was the trouble maker a lot of the time. She should spend more time at home raising nice, well behaved children. The children are obnoxious little brats.

YOu have to remember, Bravo pays for a lot of these vacations they go on. I am not standing up for them by any means, but Bravo does cover a lot so they can see more drama.

I think Teresa is a whacko!!! I understand that she may not have know about their finances until it was to late, but she knows now, and she continues to spend spend spend!!! She lives in LALA land. I find it hard to believe that Teresa keeps a low profile any place that she goes...
