What We Want to See on Britney's 'Glee' Episode

We love 'Glee.' The critically acclaimed FOX hit has captivated middle America and Grammy winners alike. Madonna and Lady Gaga were both honored with their own tribute episodes, Broadway heavyweights Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Minzel play recurring characters, and Sir Paul McCartney has even expressed interest in being on the show.
But no teen-centric music spectacle would be complete without its own tribute to the most iconic late '90s pop tart of all, Britney Spears. This past week, Britney's been on the set of 'Glee' filming her tribute episode, teasing Gleeks and tweeting updates and fun photos of herself and the cast!
Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr. Schuester, professed his disdain for the idea of a Spears-centric show back in May. But now, word on the Internet is that Mr. Shu loses his cool and shaves his head, a la Britney circa 2007. His meltdown better be true to Britney form and include a public assault of Sue Sylvester's car with an umbrella.
Filming hasn't wrapped yet! Here are some other ideas for the rest of the cast of 'Glee' in this highly anticipated Britney episode.
Santana - 'Glee's' favorite bad girl comes under fire when, much like Brit, she's caught lip-synching in a "live" performance. Santana argues the focus of her performance is the choreographed dance routine she flawlessly executes, but other members of the team are outraged and claim she's not really singing.
Emma Pillsbury - The sweet, wholesome guidance counselor is tired of her buttoned-up image and decides to sex things up. Channeling Britney's video for 'Oops I Did It Again,' Ms. Pillsbury shows up to McKinley High in a pleather red jumpsuit. The time has come for her to prove to Mr. Shu that even though she's still a virgin, she's not that innocent.
Sue Sylvester - Sue raises eyebrows when she develops a sudden infatuation with an unknown, overweight townie. Elitist and unapologetically snobby, Sue usually wouldn't be seen in public with such a slob. Much like Britney's questionable relationship with the now infamous Kevin Federline, this partnership seems skewed and doomed from the beginning. Like Britney, many wonder if Sue's being used by her deadbeat boyfriend for her influence and endorsement deals in town.
Rachel Berry - New Directions' self-proclaimed star is often lonely on her journey to the top. Rachel does her own rendition of Spears' 2000 hit 'Lucky,' wistfully crooning about the unseen hardships of being the best.
Artie Abrams/Tina Cohen-Chang - The on-again, off-again couple decides to emulate Britney's shotgun wedding to Jason Alexander at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in 2004. With fake IDs and a lot of gusto, the duo impulsively ties the not at an Ohio courthouse. But the truth about their ages is revealed, and like Britney, their marriage is annulled 55 hours later.
Quinn Fabray - Like Britney at the 2008 MTV VMAs, Quinn dons a sexy, sparkly bikini and does her best rendition of 'Gimme More.' The performance is only months after the birth of her child and her normally impeccable physique is still fantastic, but not entirely flawless. Quinn faces the harsh criticism of her peers and is, like Britney, a healthy young woman suddenly pegged as "fat."
Kurt Hummel - Image obsessed and snarky, Kurt is an unlikely defender of Quinn and her controversial performance. But Kurt channels Chris Crocker's viral video and emotionally calls for McKinley High to have some empathy for the girl who's been through so much. Hysterically, he demands that the haters "LEAVE QUINN ALONE!"
Mercedes Jones – Diva in training and fashionista Mercedes Jones is not shy when it comes to flaunting what she's got and showing off her style. Inspired by Britney designing a clothing line for Candies, Mercedes creates a line of New Directions merchandise for members of the Glee club and their fans.
Finn Hudson/Noah 'Puck' Puckerman – Finn and Puck went from football hotshots to unpopular slushie targets almost overnight. In an attempt to become hip and back in the spotlight, the two stage a same-sex kiss reminiscent of Britney and Madonna's makeout at the 2003 MTV VMAs.
Brittany - Not to be left out, Brittany channels the other Britney by distributing temporary tattoos of fairies and butterflies throughout McKinley in honor of the pop star's real ink. She also purchases an albino python like the one Spears performed 'I'm a Slave 4 U' with at the 2001 MTV VMAs. Brittany names the snake Sean Jayden after the pop star's two sons.

I'd like to see Britney as a member of the stand-up chorus, singing choral music or ballads along with the other members. Now let's see--is she a better alto or soprano?!

ack, poor Kurt! hope they don't use that one!

This looks like its gona be good. Real good. I hope the whole show doesnt revolve around Birtney tho. They should bring in other actors like Justin Bieber or Timberlake. something like that would be Sweeett!

My prediction: The hype will die down and Glee will be canceled by end of season. It's just NOT a good show. It's all over the place, with zero sense of direction and the acting is awful. Is it a parody of after school specials? A parody of High School musical? A drama about 30 year old teenagers? Or just some gay dudes wet dream?

The singing on Glee is fantastic. It is WAY better than anything on American Idol for the last several years, and that show still is still #1 in the ratings.
