Janice Dickinson: Don't Believe Tyra Banks' Apology

Janice Dickinson doesn't believe Tyra Banks' apology for a controversial new commercial for 'America's Next Top Model' that showcases an alarmingly thin, 6'2" model wannabe. Banks issued a statement saying the promo has been "misconstrued" because "it is just impossible for me to see everything that's created."

But Dickinson isn't buying it. "[Ex]cuse me, but Tyra is the executive producer of that show," Dickinson told Access Hollywood. "She has her finger on everything. No, I don't believe it."

"It's her show. She's very controlling. She's the hardest working woman on that show. She has her finger on that pulse – trust me."

"Everything they shoot is intentional. Don't tell me different. I did it for five seasons, " Dickinson argued.

In the original promo, Banks squeals about the catwalker, who claims to have the smallest waist in the world. The model's waist was so tiny that Miss J Alexander could touch his two hands around it. "There's something about her I like," Banks says.

duh, she knows about teenagers having sex 'cause she was once one just like all of us no longer in our teenage years. stop hating 'cause teen sex is not the newest fad....it was the same when we were teens, only difference are the new tools they have that we didn't, like internet, cell phones, webcams, etc.... again...stop HATING!!!

okay ill admit i dont watch tyra's show and i havent seen her in a while but the last time i saw her she was pretty and healthy looking wtf has happened? she looks awful as for that really skinny model as one poster said some girls are naturally thin and maybe this girl is one of them her waist is tiny beyond tiny actually look at vivian leigh in gone with the wind she was known for her tiny waist i cant get over tyra it looks like her hair is too big for her she wasnt this thin when she modeled for victoria's secret

Tyra is very conceited and sef centered. She is all about herself. Also, as far as her shows, she claims to have empathy and love for plus size women and inner beauty, but yet has a show about only emaciated and "beautiful" women. If she believed what she says, she would let ANY size woman enter America's Top Model ANY time. Wow, big deal, she had one season of Top Model for women below 5' 9". What a saint. If she is into empoering women as much as she thinks she is, she wouldn't be segregating 90% of the female population. She is a hypocrite.

there is nothing wrong with the promo trailer for the new season, yes the girl is thin, but not in a sickly, skeletal way. Some women do have a thin body frame, just as other women are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Since the prom trailer was obviously chopped up, it is clear to see that regardless of her frame there is something that the girl did or said that Tyra liked making her say, "There is something about her that I like". Tyra shouldn't have to apologize for the promo-trailer, which is still of course on YouTube. It would be beneficial to tune in when the season starts to see the full meet and greet of the Top Model panel and the lovely girl with the tiny waist, her perportions actually do fit her build.

Why anyone would listen to EITHER of these women is beyond me. Tyra has always gone nuts over the super-skinny contestants even as she denounced the media for slamming her OWN weight. That's called talking out of both sides of your mouth. Isn't Janice in REHAB now? And when she was on Tyra's show she ALSO went for the girls that looked like skeletons. They are two peas in a pod, both trying to revive their youth and their wanning careers. Janice is WAY past her modeling prime, and Tyra needs to find a new gig and leave the modeling world to someone more current.

Bottom line, unfortunately, Janice needed something to keep her name in the news. FORTUNATELY, what she said is true. Having said that, if it hadn't been for Tyra Banks bringing Janice onto "TOP MODEL", she'd still be a 'has been'. She should be ashamed for dising the very person that gave her a second chance at noteriety.

OOOH, Let me tell you something and I hope Tyra will see this. She is a HYPOCRITE(sp) from the word go. On the Tyra show she brings on all thise plus sized women and tell them they are beautiful no matter the size or shape and they can do anything they want in life, then when u turn on Americas Next Top Model all you see is size 0-2 women who look like they haven't eaten in two weeks and she applauds them for their bodies. My question is why aren't any of these plus sized women on ANTM? If they are so great and they can do whatever they want, then why can't they win that contest? U are a joke and you know it. You spent your whole life promoting an unhealthy, thin lifestyle and giving teenage girls unrealistic goals and told them no matter what, do whatever it takes to look like THIS. Mske up your mind Tyra!!!! Do u likse FAT or don't u? As I said U are talking out of both sides of your mouth and that's why I stopped watching BOTh shows.

I don't watch it anymore, but she's had a few plus sized models on the show before. AND a couple seasons ago, the plus sized girl won. The top two were her and a thin, tall one, but the bigger contestant ended up impressing the judges the most. I know, they applaud the really skinny girls most of the time, as does the rest of the modeling world, but I'm just letting you know that the judges DID pick a plus sized woman as a winner.
