Janice Dickinson: Don't Believe Tyra Banks' Apology

Janice Dickinson doesn't believe Tyra Banks' apology for a controversial new commercial for 'America's Next Top Model' that showcases an alarmingly thin, 6'2" model wannabe. Banks issued a statement saying the promo has been "misconstrued" because "it is just impossible for me to see everything that's created."

But Dickinson isn't buying it. "[Ex]cuse me, but Tyra is the executive producer of that show," Dickinson told Access Hollywood. "She has her finger on everything. No, I don't believe it."

"It's her show. She's very controlling. She's the hardest working woman on that show. She has her finger on that pulse – trust me."

"Everything they shoot is intentional. Don't tell me different. I did it for five seasons, " Dickinson argued.

In the original promo, Banks squeals about the catwalker, who claims to have the smallest waist in the world. The model's waist was so tiny that Miss J Alexander could touch his two hands around it. "There's something about her I like," Banks says.

Janice doesn't get it. She no longer has "it". Reminds me of Elvira a long ago host of late night creep shows. She should stay away from cameras,keep her nasty mouth shut and spend time in front of the mirror until reality sets in. There was never beauty within and the plastic and pancake makeup is pretty scary looking.No respect intended; she is freaky!

tyra turned me off big time last season when she chose (and i agree with janice - tyra has the last say on that show) a model with a clear eating disorder as the winner... in fact, krista was so thin that on the go-see episode, some designers wouldn't book her... can you imagine a designer thinking that a model is too thin????!!

to those who may argue that krista was "naturally thin," i suggest you watch the last episode again... toward the end, there was a photo montage which included candid shots of krista before antm... she was significantly heavier...

the girl was constantly bringing up the fact that she was a darker skinned black girl who wanted to be a role model, and THAT is why she won... tyra is just another hypocrite who gets famous and suddenly thinks she's qualified to advise girls and women on how to live their lives...

Lainie, Tyra is a professional at what she does and she does it well. That's why her show is so popular. If you care to check? You'd find that some of the "Lighter Skin girls" were pretty thin as well. So I don't think you want to go there. Tyra Banks is an expert and her job gives her the qualifacations to send some girls home sooner than others. She's got this and she knows what she's doing. Believe that.

First of all, I am no fan of the stuck-up Tyra Banks. However, why isn't she entitled to have her opinion on who she likes? Are we having reverse discrimination now, and she can't like a super thin model? My sister is about the same size as that girl, and while she isn't a huge eater, she eats healthy food, is not anorexic and has never had an eating problem. I'm thin too, although not as skinny as my sister. With some people it's genes or fast metabolism I guess, and I wish the fat people would stop being so jealous.

puh-leeze, you wouldn't know they were all exactly the same EVERY show unless you were watching them. I like Tyra's show, though I do not catch it every show. Now batchelor/rette, big brother, etc... saw they were all the same from season 1/episode 1. Another one old and I don't watch anymore is American Idol...never pick the best singer!

Janice is one of the reasons girls have self-esteem issues. In one of the earlier seasons of ANTM she told a girl who was probably a size one that she was fat. And then she said that having an eating disorder was a good thing. I know its not very revelant, but i don't like how she is such a mean spirited person. I would believe Tyra's apology over anything Janice says just because of Tyra's defense of "fat" girls.

Regarding the question above - whether Chelsea Handler should host the VMA's or not. It's interesting how I got started watching Chelsea. About 10-12 years ago there was a show (I think
it was on Oxygen at the time). There was something about her that I loved and made me LOL. At that time, I was chatting with a girl that resembled Chelsea is much. I told her she looked just like Chelsea Handler, and she was like, who's Chelsea Handler? lol. Not too many people knew who she was, back in 1999-2000. I told my friend who Chelsea Handler was and I remember another thing I said that was so prophetic. I said, Diane you know one day, Chelsea Handler is going to big one day. And so she is! Well, maybe not "big," but she's still young, give it time! lol
