Kate Winslet Steps Out With a New Man

Looking happy and healthy in London this weekend, Oscar winner Kate Winslet slipped on a little black dress to hit the town with her new boyfriend, British model Louis Dowler. Paparazzi snapped pics of the couple walking hand-in-hand and hopping inside a cab, laughing and relaxed after a night of dinner and clubbing. The actress and her second husband, director Sam Mendes, announced their separation in March after seven years of marriage (they have a 6-year-old son, and Winslet is also mom to a 9-year-old daughter from her first marriage).

Winslet, 34, reportedly met her new beau, also 34, through mutual friends at a party. Despite reconciliation reports describing Mendes, 45, as still in the picture, speculation about the actress' new romance escalated in early August when she was photographed alongside Dowler as he worked out shirtless in New York City. Last month, a source talked about Winslet's new relationship to U.K.'s News of the World: "They've been on lots of dates and get on really well....Louis has a good sense of humour and really is a lovely guy."

Dowler has modeled for Burberry ads with Kate Moss, as well as for British designer Paul Smith and Italian fashion house Canali. Meanwhile, his globe-trotting new love has been busy with location shoots in recent months, filming the Todd Haynes remake 'Mildred Pierce' (the 1945 original won Joan Crawford an Oscar) in Manhattan and an ad campaign for Swiss watchmaker Longines (costarring Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai) in Rome.

Typical of the hollywood scene.....I find it breath taking when a celebrity couple stay together, which is a verrrrrry rare thing....It's to easy for them to say "hey" don't love him/her anymore, want to do my own thing , have 4 kids who cares...This celebrity world is about being selfish and finding yourself and doing what ever the hell you want no matter whose involved....rather sad, kinda pathetic, its all about me me me me me me me me me .....ha!

It amazes me how fast people can move on. If you've been married for an extended period of time or even just a long relationship and you split, where is the grieving time?
I honestly don't understand how this works. How is it that easy to move to the next one so fast?

Sheila, by the time a couple split, they have no feelings left for each other. If they have had children together, then they are stuck with each other to the degree that it involves the children, but that's it. I divorced twice and on the day I received the final papers for both marriages, it was a time to celebrate, not grieve. One grieves when a loved one is lost in 'death'. A lost marriage is sad, but people do outgrow each other and go their separate ways. It is not a time for grief, nobody died; they are starting a new life and it's a time to celebrate.

i would like to know the same if you are with someone for years how do people move on so quick it stinks

Kate, I'm disappointed. You and Leo need to get it together. What's the deal? I personally don't think this guy is good looking at all. But that's not really what matters. Maybe he looks better in a magazine - whatever. I think Kate and Leo would be great for each other - but it's not what the public thinks that matters. We don't know what's on the inside. Leo, give Kate a call before it's too late - again.
