Surprise Ruling Coming in Lindsay Lohan Case

The new judge overseeing Lindsay Lohan's criminal case is issuing a surprise, unspecified ruling on Tuesday, the Associated Press reports. The ruling will come one day before the prosecutor and Lohan's attorney were planning to attend a previously-scheduled update hearing.

Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini said Judge Eldne Fox, who replaced Judge Marsha Revel a few weeks ago, would issue the mystery ruling on Tuesday afternoon. Parachini had no additional information.

Judge Revel originally sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail and a 90-day inpatient rehabilitation program on July 6 for violating probation on an old DUI case. She ended up serving only 14 days due to good behavior and overcrowding at the jail. She is currently in the middle of the 90-day rehab program.

TMZ reports that several sources expect Lohan to be released early from rehab -- maybe even this week -- and tomorrow's ruling might be step one. It's been speculated that Lohan was originally misdiagnosed and the full 90 days of treatment wouldn't be necessary.

I don't know why I am surprized by this. Even though she was DRUNK while driving and had COCAINE in her posession, now it's all some doctors fault?? We certainly have the best system of justice MONEY CAN BUY.

Misdiagnoised? Yea right! She truly has a drug and alcohol problem. She'll get out, either die of an overdose and then her family will sue the courts or treatment center for not helping her. Or she will kill someone while driving drunk and then the victims family will sue the courts and treatment center for not helping her. Yea! What a system where the celebs can pay their way out.

Not surprised I hope. What else is new for a bonehead with lots of cash and the right people to buy. She will end up like Anna Nicole Smith. Just so glad their are no children involved,I hope. I wonder who she will kill this time around during her doctor induced pill prescriptions and her drinking. We as a society crave idots like her. They make us feel that we are normal in our minds. Nothing about this broad surprises me, she was caught with coke on her, thats not a perscription drug, she'll be doing that and the booze as soon as she is out. Get caught again and she will no excuses will be accepted. Losers, the whole family.
