Will Jon Gosselin's Book Be About Parenting?

Jon Gosselin and leadership coach Dr. Sylvia Lafair are writing a book together about the lessons the reality dad has learned as the father of a large -- and famous -- family.
"Jon is still deciding what exactly the book will be about, but knows he wants to focus on his parenting skills," a friend of the father of eight tells me. "There is no deal yet or timeline, but the [interest] in Jon from publishers is huge right now, so he's going to strike while the iron is hot."
The former TLC reality star thinks this is his chance to show the world what a stand-up father he is and how other moms and dads in similar situations (because having 8 kids is so common!) can learn parenting tips from him.
This would also be Jon's answer to Kate's successful turn as an author of parenting-ish books like 'Eight Little Faces' and 'I Just Want You to Know.'
Jon met Dr. Lafair 12 months ago when he sought help dealing with the changes going on in his life (you know, his high-profile divorce from Kate and all those prickly dating troubles). Now, the two have become friends and are determined to work together on this parenting book.
Lafair's no novice in the publishing game -- she's the author of the award-winning 2010 business book 'Don't Bring It to Work' -- and has said Jon is motivated by his desire to be a good father to his kids.
"Expect the book to include Jon's journey from high school to father of sextuplets by age 27," an insider tells me. "What the book won't be focusing on is how quickly he moved on, after Kate, with two much younger girlfriends, his partying nights in Las Vegas or his new huge tattoo that covers his entire back."
In other words, don't expect too much of that little thing called
reality!

HE CAN KEEP A THOUGHT LONG ENOUGH IN HIS HEAD TO PUT IT ON PAPER?? WELL THAT'S A SURPRISE.

They don't fade away in to the sunset because people like the writer of this alleged story get their "writings" published.

The only reason Jon dreamed up the idea of writing a book is most likely due to the fact he is too lazy to get a real job. I can't imagine anyone interested in reading a book about Jon's life journey, so far. Kate has proven to have the ambition that is keeping her family afloat.

I think all you real Parents out there can teach this idiot how to be a good parent. Maybe if he knew about parenting an life itself he would be with his family right now.

Oh, golly gee, heavenly days! Jon and Kate are a couple of losers and their 15 minutes is long over. If Jon were to really write a book, I'm sure that it would bomb the same as Kate's latest book. In other words, who really cares to read anything about or by this disfunctional family?

His book will be about being a leech... this idiot is known for knocking up Kate 8 times...and shes as worthless

I believe the book explains Einstein's theory of relativity in great detail.

Isn't this the guy on the show who whined that he couldn't write. Let the so called experts write the advise books and concentrate on being a good single dad to your eight children when you have them. We saw the program and heard enough about your life and your tweets let us know the rest. Why waste money on a book by you? If I live long enough I'd rather read one written by one of your kids.

I admit that I used to watch the show, but only to see those adorable children. After the show turned into a contest betwwen two Fame-seeking "parents" I stopped watching it alltogether. I believe that a lot of the show's viewers did the same as I. Now these two wanna-be's are taking turns trying to be famous for doing nothing. Many hardworking parents are raising their children without benefit of a television audience. Give it up Jon and Kate. Nobody cares!!!!

You have got to be kidding, right? His parenting skills have a lot to be desired. Let us not forget his decisions right after the break up, that in itself speaks volumes of his character. How would ANY publisher entertain the notion that this person has something worthwhile to say? And we the general public would want to hear.
