Mark Wahlberg Not Impressed With Drew Barrymore's Lust for His Boxer-Briefs

During one intimate scene in the upcoming 'Going the Distance,' Drew Barrymore's character engages in a fantasy over the phone with her long-distance lover and gets very hot thinking about Mark Wahlberg's iconic Calvin Klein underwear ads. You'd think Mr. Wahlberg would be flattered.

Apparently not.

As Barrymore explains, she had a very awkward exchange with Wahlberg when he learned her character in the film lusts after him. "Oh my God, I did tell him that," she said. "I ran into him at an awards show and I told him I was just talking about how hot you are in your underwear." The former underwear model was not impressed.

Barrymore admitted she was confused that Wahlberg was not more excited to be the object of her phone-sex desire.

"Who would not be excited about that?" she asked. "He's a very nice guy, and I have had other conversations with him that went much better than that."

Long, Barrymore's on-again, off-again boyfriend, admits the encounter "didn't go over great ... In [Wahlberg's] defense, it's a strange thing to bring up. I don't think he was prepared for it."

Wahlberg's reaction aside, the 'Going the Distance' phone sex scene between Long and Barrymore has a lot of heat.

Barrymore said she was not at all shy in taking part: "I was so excited to hit that [the scene]. And I really wanted to hit it hard."

Perhaps the former Marky Mark will be more impressed once he sees the movie. Flowers or a signed poster might be in order.

If he isn't proud of it, he shouldn't have done it, but he's a fame w h o r e and won't admit it. He was happy to spend the money he got taking his clothes off and now he wants to distance himself from it? Too damn bad. Nertz to him. He's a jerk and this kind of crap will only lose him fans.

Mark didn't do anything wrong. Drew Barrymore just believes that everyone thinks she's the cutest thing. That's an awkward thing to bring up to someone...especially since they're not friends in real life.

Mr. Wahlberg isn't exactly known for being the friendly type.

Mark Whalberg is a punk, he once beat an asian man almost to death on the street. I know plenty of people who are pissed abot their lives but never took it out on somenone to this extreme. To beat a meeker man mercilously to show how tough you are is criminally insane. I'll never forgive or forget it. If it was there then it's in there now, I'd be careful what I said around him.

He's had a pompous attitude for YEARS now. Which is funny, considering he has NEVER proven himself capable of carrying a blockbuster movie on his own. Sorry Marky Mark, you're the straight-laced side-kick and nothing more. Honestly, where do these 'stars' get these attitudes from? I love Drew...like Mark! He was caught off guard - Just as Justin Long said. Drew was just trying to be funny and friendly. Maybe he does want to put those ads in the past, but whatever, they helped his career at the time. I'm sure Drew isn't going to lose any sleep over it and when she does run in to him again, I'm sure she'll be a little more subdued...his loss because I think she's a very funny person.
