Lindsay Lohan Ordered to Undergo Psychotherapy and Random Drug Tests

A judge on Wednesday ordered Lindsay Lohan to undergo a rigorous outpatient rehab program that will require frequent counseling but will permit the actress to continue working.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox ordered the 'Mean Girls' star to undergo psychotherapy and addiction counseling sessions several times a week until November. He also ordered the 24-year-old to submit to random drug and alcohol testing at least twice a week and to continue living in the Los Angeles area.
Fox laid out the terms of the actress'
early release from an inpatient rehab center during a 10 minute hearing, which Lohan did not attend. The judge said he ordered the actress' release at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The judge did give Lohan some incentives and rewards. He dismissed two drug counts that the actress had pleaded guilty to in 2007. He also said Lohan will be taken off supervised probation if she complies with his orders, passes all drug and alcohol tests and does not miss any of her counseling sessions.
Fox took over Lohan's case after another, Judge Marsha Revel, recused herself. A prosecutor had complained the judge met with defense attorneys and called rehabilitation programs without notifying her.
Revel ruled in July that Lohan violated her probation in the 2007 drug case by missing seven alcohol education classes since December. Lohan spent 14 days in jail and was immediately taken to an inpatient rehabilitation facility at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she had been ordered to remain for three months.
Fox said he based his modifications on the recommendations of Lohan's doctors and after reviewing three years of filings and medical records in the case.
Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said the actress is eager to prove that she can comply with Fox's orders.
"She has changed," Holley said. "She's healthy. She's clear-headed. She is positive at looking forward."
Holley said Lohan would not attend a screening of her latest film project, "Machete," that is scheduled for Wednesday evening. But she said Lohan's treatment schedule will permit the actress to resume working.
"This was a good day for her in court," Holley said. "She has complied with everything that has been asked of her."
Prosecutors did not oppose any of the conditions Fox placed on the star.

Reece, I am NOT a fan of this THING and agree she WILL probably end up killing herself and/or an innocent person. BUT I WOULD NEVER WISH ANYONE DEAD.THAT WAS A HORRIBLE THHING TO SAY!!!!

Like Jesse James, I wish this girl would just go away. Your career is over. You have shown the world your true colors and they are "spoiled brat pink"

It's only a matter of time before she gets behind the wheel of a car and injures or, God forbid, kills someone. Then the courts will say, "Hey, maybe this girl needs more than just a slap on the hand." It's a sad, sad story of a girl with SO much potential who got caught up in the Hollywood hype and just didn't know how to handle it.

This has nothing to do with conservatives/liberals. She broke the law, broke probation, and now she's out early AND drug charges she pled guilty to in 2007 have been dropped!!! She has gotten off very easy.

There isnt fair and equal justice in America.

She is famous and what else they get better treatmeant than some one who is not. I have to say she is pretty and my heart goes out to her hope she gets her life back.

its a shame that this girl may possibly end up dead and take innocent people with her. lifestyle of rich and famous is not always a great ending.

Its so easy to buy the law when one has a nice body and is cute,,

Tony: I don't have a nice body and am not cute. I'm a 68 year old male and was treated fairly by the court, as was Lindsay. I am a recovering alcoholic but I think Lindsay is just a typical, young party girl who doesn't suffer from the disease of alcholism as defined by the AMA.
I NEVER had to go to counseling five days a week (more like two) and with a misdemeanor battery I served probation including 'anger management' - but, didn't have to sleep with Jack Nicholson. I also served four days in jail for a 2nd (and last) DUI. I have been sober for ten years.
No, there weren't any breaks for Lindsay Lohan.
Hey Gary, she was also found to be in possession of cocaine. If you or I did that we would have served a lot more jail time than she did. Unless of course you're a millionaire and just failed to mention it.
i for one do not want lindsay to fail, but i said it once and ill say it again, if she gets behind the wheel and kills someone because she is drunk, then what will happen, she needs more rehab too get well, and she needs too stay away from mommy.

Lohan an "actress"(actor)? Halle Berry, Meryl Streep, Drew Barrymore, and Diane Keaton are Actor's. Lohan is not even close to being in their league.

she will continue to use and continue to get into trouble as long as they just give her pats on the back. why do they bother to put her on the news? Get some good kids on the news so our children can have good role models to look up to.

If she kills herself or someone else, her family should sue the judges who let her off so easily.

Leave the girl alone! Everyone needs a brew now and then.

Why wasn't she required to be at the hearing? Who's running what show here? What a joke these judges are. Repeat offenders ALWAYS do their time in the REAL WORLD !

You don't get it yet. When you don't have a movie roll in big cinema you get your practice being in the public spotlight by being in the media. This has been entertainment for quit a long time!!

Another (light) slap on the hand. How DO these people do it? How do they convince judges to let them off so lightly? If she were Jane Public she would still be in jail and not even made it to rehab yet and she wouldn't get it taken from her record.

I personally don't think she's a skank, or whatever, I think she just needs some proper guidance. A good adult role model to help her along, I htink she can recover, she can get her career back on track, but, it's going to require a lot of hard work on her part.
