Timbaland Timbaland is shooting down reports that he attempted to take his own life. "I don't know what people are talking about. Why would I commit suicide?" the rapper-producer, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show (via PEOPLE).

TMZ first reported that Timbaland's mother-in-law called 911 claiming the rapper was a danger to himself. The LA County Sheriff's Department dispatcher sent out a "possible suicide attempt" alert, and police eventually found the music mogul driving on the Pacific Coast Highway.

"I snapped," he told Seacrest. "I was like, 'Who would report something like that?'"

After relocating to Timbaland's home, paramedics determined his life was not in danger. "I don't even know what happened, to be honest," Timbaland added.
