Julio Iglesias Marries Girlfriend of 20 Years

Eternally suave Latin pop icon Julio Iglesias has married Miranda Rijnsburger, his girlfriend of 20 years and mother of five of the singer's children, according to a statement published by HOLA! magazine.

Iglesias, 66, and his bride, 44, tied the knot on Aug. 24 in an intimate ceremony in Marbella, Spain. According to reports, only his five sons and two other witnesses were there, and the nuptials were followed by a traditional Catholic mass in a chapel at his farm in nearby Malaga.

The 'To All the Girls I've Loved Before' crooner met Rijnsburer, a Dutch model, while visiting Indonesia in late 1990 and soon struck up a relationship. They had their first child, a son named Miguel, in 1997, followed by Rodrigo, twins Cristina and Victoria, and, in 2007, another son, Guillermo.

He was previously married to Isabel Preysler, the mother of his three older children, Isabel, Julio Jr., who recently announced he's engaged, and Enrique. That marriage ended in divorce in 1979.

In March, Iglesias told HOLA! that he had enjoyed "twenty years of many beautiful things" with his Dutch partner and that he "loves her deeply."

Iglesias has sold more than 200 million records worldwide since debuting in the late 1960s.

They should got married 20 years ago. Now they have five children and 20 years later finally at last got married. Why wait so long???

Gee, it took him 20 years to decide of she was the right woman for him. I wouldn't have waited 5 years for the guy to make up his mind.

How do we know that it was not her that was not ready before now? Do any of us know either of them or their family? I am really old as my grandkids tell me but why do any of us have the right to judge anyone?

For my money, judging is certainly worse. Who knows why they didn’t decide to marry earlier? Only them, really. For all intents and purposes, they were married. Best of wishes and congratulations to them both.

I'm glad to see Hillary Duff married such a nice looking little boy. Sorry, that's how I see it. Beautiful young women going to dinner all dressed up and looking fine; their boyfriends? Wearing shorts and backward facing baseball caps and looking like their names might be, oh, something like Ricky, or maybe "little Ricky."

Look at the background of the picture - they're obviously at a sporting event. Although it's not a habit that wows me either, that's how guys dress for these things.
