Leonardo DiCaprio Gets A Restraining Order

Leonardo DiCaprio has been granted a temporary restraining against a woman he said claims to be his wife and carrying his baby. Court records show Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson granted the order Wednesday against Livia Bistriceanu, 41, of Chicago. "Given this obsessive and harassing behavior, I am frightened of Ms. Bistriceanu and feel that my personal safety, and the personal safety of those around me, is in jeopardy," DiCaprio wrote in a sworn declaration.

DiCaprio's request included statements from the actor and his security team claiming Bistriceanu, who has been placed on a psychological hold twice, had traveled from Chicago to Los Angeles at least twice to try to meet DiCaprio at his home and business office. She refused to leave the properties and acted aggressively, the court filings state.

DiCaprio said he has never met Bistriceanu, but she has sent him numerous handwritten letters. One letter included the greeting, "Dear husband Leo," and contained statements that Bistriceanu believed DiCaprio was the father of baby Jesus.

The Academy Award-nominated actor wrote that she "has evidenced a willingness to make physical contact with me regardless of the consequences."

So...what? You're saying that Leo's lying? That he's just "claiming" to have a stalker?

Why would he do that if he really didn't? For publicity? Sorry, but I don't buy that. It's not as if Leo is hurting for good press or buzz right now. For goodness sake, he just starred in a huge, critically acclaimed movie.

There are lots of possible reasons why he could claim to have a stalker. Maybe she really is one. Maybe he is among the crowd that's only "made it" because they've had a "stalker". Maybe he feels any publicity is good publicity. Maybe he thinks it's funny to show his "juice" regardless of the consequences to the accused. He knows, as every celebrity knows, that the world is full of drones that believe because a celebrity said it, it must be true

This is why it is crucial that we have proper funding for mental health institutions. Clearly, this is a sick woman that needs help. Often, the most vulnerable and in-need in our society have their services cut. So sad!

You are so right! We have lapsed (regressed) in help for the mentally ill for years now due to an improper lack of funding but things are starting to look a little better now.

Yea I totally agree if you need the spotlight on yourself and your not getting the attention you deserve throw in rehab and a few stalkers,like paris did the guy breaking into her house and she was frightened to death. Man she is like leo they all have big security forces around them if you think someone wont get fired over that breakin letting that dude get that close to her house your wrong big time the amt of money these stars dish out for security teams unreal.

its really just sad that there are sick people around who really believe they have a personal relationship with these "personalities" people who are famous for being famous, or who's job it is to entertain us on movies and t.v. ? they have to have security people just to keep away the fruit cakes and stalkers?? sad.
