Michael Jackson's Kids Start School For First Time

You remember it like it was yesterday, don't you? Your first day of school. Standing at the bus stop with a fresh hair cut and an even fresher peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It's an American classic, and now, it's an experience the two eldest children of the late Michael Jackson can relate to.
Homeschooled since they began their education, Prince Michael, 13, and his sister Paris, 12, began classes at The Buckley School in California's San Fernando Valley on Wednesday. Jackson family sources tell
TMZ, Prince wanted to enroll to have "a social experience."
Katherine Jackson -- who has custody of Michael's three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, 8 -- has been
working hard to provide the kids with a more normal upbringing since their father's tragic passing. In June, Jackson's kids were spotted going door-to-door as Jehovah's Witnesses. Sources
told PopEater at the time that the King of Pop wanted his children to grow up with the same beliefs he had as a child.
"The children are seemingly as normal as normal can be under pretty extraordinary circumstances," Katherine's lawyer, Adam Streisand, told The Associated Press (via the
Huffington Post).
While Prince was excited to start school, Paris was initially more reluctant but became more excited as the big day approached.
The Buckley School is an exclusive private school with scads of famous alumni: Matthew Perry, Alyssa Milano, Nicole Richie, Nicollette Sheridan, Laura Dern, Paris Hilton and
Kim Kardashian all attended.
Blanket -- who Streisand described to the AP as "totally cute and personable – a very bright little boy" -- will continue to be homeschooled, as Katherine feels he's to young to begin traditional schooling.

A little old and big for first grade. I guess it will be hard on them. Oh well, never too late to start learning.

They're not going to first grade!, They have been home-schooled up until now, so that means they are going to the grade they belong in for their age.
Do you have ANY brains?
Going to door-to-door as a Jehovah's witness ain't a normal upbringing!

Maybe it isn't for you, but it is if you are from a Jehovahs Witness practing family.
It is, if you have the type of lifestyle of a true Christian... You know, the kind of life that trys to live according to Bible principles... Perhaps you don't know. Anyway... It is normal to those who are in the faith. Jesus went to the people. Jesus taught his followers to do the same. Matthew 28:19,20...
Maybe not to you but it is to a Jehovahs Witness, like any other child raised in a specific faith
Jesus taught as a child!
As a man who Jehovah God has saved the hide of on many, Many, MANY occasions, I'm going to ask that you don't pick at these children. If you're going to pick at them (little children) for loving Lord God Jehovah, then- I'm going to cut myself off before I say something I shouldn't...
Hey JANEYER.... no TRUE christian would ever force their beliefs on anyone else nor approach strangers to advertise their religion. Jesus, a Jew and an enlightener, never talked his beliefs with anyone unless THEY approached HIM, and only then did he talk of how it was for him; he never said you must do this or you must do that.
If you really feel you have to pimp your god, then it's time to rethink your religion! And FYI.. Matthew 10:14...leave when people tell you to leave them alone.
I agree
Hello, too young at 8. My daughter would have loved it if I told her she was too young at 8 to go to school!!!

Its great the kids get to go to public school. All children need to be around many other kids, from all different walks of life.
It best to do it now, instead of them being kept at home, with only family all the time. Now they will be able to blend with all different types of kids, so when their adults, they wont be in total shock. Some people are mean, cruel, and plain crazy. Is best the kids know it now. And this way the kids will know how to act, and who to stay away from, and who they can count on as frineds. All kids should have this chance to meet other kids.
I hope they all like their school, and do well. I hope they all make some new friends.

The Buckley School where they will be attending is far from a public school. It is a very small, exclusive private school. I attended there from 2nd grade through 9th grade. It will be a more sheltered environment then your typical California public school, and therefore they should fit in and do quite well.
They are not going to public school. They are going to a high priced private school.
