Dress Predictions for the 2010 Emmy Awards: What Christina, Tina and Eva Will Wear

Yes, we can't wait to see if 'Mad Men' and '30 Rock' are repeat
Emmy Awards winners. But let's get real here. We don't watch the Emmys just so we can groan at the presenters' scripted banter or contemplate the popularity of 'Two and a Half Men.' We also watch for the dresses.
And since we've still got time before our favorite small-screen sirens hit the red carpet on Aug. 29, we've decided to whip out our crystal ball and handicap what we suspect they'll wear.
Only they and their stylists know for sure what's coming out of the closet on the big night, but it doesn't hurt to do a little detective work.
Judging by 'Mad Men' actress
Christina Hendricks' previous Emmy gowns, we can expect plenty of curves and an intense hue. In 2008, she flaunted her highly praised curvaceous figure in a plunging emerald green Tadashi Shoji, while 2009 saw her in a fitted midnight blue L'Wren Scott (who also designed her blue Met ball gown).
A safe bet is that the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama nominee will turn up in a creation from "Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano, who designed her peach organza Golden Globes frock and the ruffled black gown she wore to last week's Creative Arts Emmys.
But given the fact that she just wore Siriano and might be wary of wearing a Scott gown at back-to-back Emmy ceremonies, we suspect Hendricks might pull out a surprise showstopper, similar to the
red one-shoulder Carolina Herrera gown she wore to this year's SAG Awards.
Scheduled presenter Eva Longoria Parker typically opts for ultra-feminine Emmy gowns with sequin detailing and a shorter cocktail length. In the past she's rocked a coral Angel Sanchez column dress with a jeweled neckline (2005), a white strapless Jason Wu frock (2006), a pink-gold sequin Kaufman Franco cocktail dress (2007), and a sequined bow-adorned dress from Marchesa (2008). Our money's on yet another girly pastel cocktail gown -- that's how she rolls.
Kyra Sedgwick, a nominee for 'The Closer,' has a habit of selecting neutral gowns paired with Old Hollywood waves, and we expect more of the same. Another sure bet: a creation from L'Wren Scott, who the actress wore in 2008 (in a white sequin-detailed sheath) and 2009 (in a dusty rose gown with floral embellishments). In 2005 she donned a simple nude cocktail dress, while 2006 saw her in a more dramatic, ruffled dove-gray gown from Giorgio Armani Privé. Fingers crossed she experiments with a little more color this year.
"Elaine" chic may be all the rage right now, but expect TV vet Julia Louis-Dreyfus -- nominated for 'The New Adventures of Old Christine'-- to don something more glam. Though she hit some style speed bumps with 1996's lime green Armani and this sugary-sweet pink creation from 1998, she's come into her own with 2006's white and black Narciso Rodriguez (a favorite of hers and ours) and last year's teal Vera Wang. We expect she'll wow the crowds in a form-fitting but tasteful Rodriguez gown.
When it comes to the Emmy Awards, '30 Rock' nominee Tina Fey rarely leaves the safety of an LBD, and when she does, it's usually for an equally deep hue. Take 2006's dark green Valentino, 2007's plunging Carolina Herrera, 2008's sexy strapless David Meister, and 2009's slinky black Gucci. We'd love to see her sizzle in a devastating red gown, but chances are she'll be wearing something dark, with a bit of cleavage.

Who gives a pigs butt about these award shows and the fashion. The world is in crisis and these clowns carry on with their narcissistic lives and get awards for something they are overpaid for anyway. THe world is changing and people need to stop worrying about such superficial things and get real.

PLUEEEZ-enough with the advertising. Stick with the subject. I don't want to shop, I don't want a business at home and I don't want to "find a boyfriend." Please, AOL, screen these more carefully.
