Paris Hilton Arrested in Vegas on Cocaine Charges

Luck wasn't on
Paris Hilton's side this weekend in Sin City, when Las Vegas police pulled over the car she was in just before midnight and allegedly found a white powder in her purse that, upon testing, proved to be cocaine. The celebutante was then arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine, and booked into the Clark County detention center, according to ABC News. She was soon released on bail.
The socialite, 29, was in the passenger seat of a car driven by a male thought to be her boyfriend, nightclub owner Cy Waits. Why was Hilton pulled over near the Wynn Hotel and Casino in the first place? Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin told the Associated Press cops thought they smelled marijuana coming from the car: "Officers noticed a vehicle leaving a smoke trail of a controlled substance [and] made a stop based on that." He added that a crowd gathered to witness the police stop after Hilton was recognized by passers-by.
According to
TMZ, Hilton has hired "powerful Vegas lawyer" David Chesnoff (whose past clients include Suge Knight and Vince Neil) to handle her case. And despite the fact that Hilton was the only woman in the vehicle when authorities pulled it over, she is reportedly insisting that the purse wasn't hers.
Hilton's had a busy summer on both sides of the law. Just days ago, cops came to her Los Angeles residence to arrest a
knife-weilding intruder on her property, who was allegedly attempting to break into her home. During the World Cup in July, she was
questioned by police in South Africa on suspicion of marijuana charges, but soon released.
Earlier this month, she unveiled the Paris Hilton Shoe Collection at a convention center in Las Vegas.

@ tfcrow: Best post on here... Funny!
You're right Tigerlily, she needs about 3 to 6 years of "rehab". Idiot.
I am not one bit suprised by this. Everyone in this crowd does Blow. It was simply a matter of time before it caught up with her. I imagine we will soon be seeing her making a grand plea for rehab, stating how terribly sorry she is.

Trust me, that's her only hope. If she is reprimanded to a long term rehab facility it would be the best thing for her. The only people who should serve jail time are dealers. She is a victim and anyone of us could end up the same way. I'm so tired of our court system ignoring that fact. All I can say is good luck to her and hopefully the court will understand her trouble and make sure she gets the help she needs.
Maybe if she has to do drug testing she might actually gain 3 pounds. I hope she gets Lindsay Lowhan's original judge.
She's not a victim. She choose to use drugs. Nobody put a gun to her head and forced her to smoke pot or do coke. She's nothing but a waste of oxygen.
Barron Hilton would be SO proud of this doll...
In the AP article, her manager is mentioned. What the heck needs managed? Does she actually DO anything??

The world will be treated with another 30 days of the latest drama from Paris Hilton and she will be treated to a sentence of two years then will get out of jail after three days. The law needs to treat these "celebrities" like everyone else.

She's a Hilton. She'll get a slap on the wrist. Bad girl.

Read a couple of other stories on aol where she got arrest twice in the last month in europe of having pot on her and now this.I do believe that we will someday read the story on here where they found her dead and it will be an OD of some dope of some sort.

Yeah, I know. It's sad. I hope she gets help and not jail time. That doesn't help anyone, trust me I know from experience. She needs long term rehab. She's a very smart person. Hopefully the court will take pity on her and get her the help she needs.
tigerlilly...you're too stupid for words
Tigerlily...I bet I know who you voted for. The Democrats should be called the Party Of Denial.
Actually her face is rather short, not long.

Another talentless bimbo caught with the dummy dust.

Not that I'm a fan of hers but the police had better articulate why it was necessary to search her purse or the case is DOA.

EXACTLY HARRY...IT WILL PROBABLY BE A DOA...THE COPS REASON DIDN'T CARRY ALOT OF WEIGHT AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED...
Probable Cause... The car was spewing a plume of pot smoke for cryin' out loud. What I would like to know is who woke up a judge to get her little multiple arrest hiney in and out before she could even reach a holding cell.
So what else is new?

We'll see how long it takes the Hilton Money Bank to get a slap on the wrist and go back to her charmed life. You wait and see; she'll get out of it and go back to her partying. Life is not fair...and they aren't doing these celebrities any favors long-term. I've lost all faith in the judicial system. If that was me or one of my kids they's "burn us". Money talks, Paris WILL walk.
