i understand that there are some people who are naturally skinny and they can't help it, but i get what she is saying. there is a difference in the look between a naturally skinny girl and one who is starving themselves. but i am glad she is taking a stand.

Yea but she's not bone-thin. If you see a full photo of her, you can tell she's not that way by starving herself. She's a fuller kind of thin and not sickly looking.

I can say one thing to Bar: Thank You. I have a daughter who plays college tennis and the pressure she is under to stay fit. She is big boned and 5'6 so she does have to watch what she eats but the tennis coach is constantly on her as well as the others to loose more weight. I feel as a medical professional that my word to the college is: Have nutri food available instead of the crap that you have there to eat. This is a small private college where the temptation is strong. My daughter is pretty good at her selections however will go over board at times. This model looks great and very healthy. I applaud you Bar!!

There is a big range between bone thin and fat. It's called "NORMAL."
TO me models should be beautiful, and beautiful includes CURVES. I actually find the ultra-skinny types repulsive. As far as I'm concerned that is no different from putting a 12 year old boy in a dress and sending them down the runway. Where are the hips, the boobs, all the things that make a woman, well, womanly? What is the point in sending waifs out that barely outweigh the clothes they are wearing? Women should look like women, and I shouldn't feel like a gay pedophile for looking at someone on a runway. They should be over 18 and have bodies, not be skeletons with skin stretched tightly over them.

Carole Shaw,the founder of Big Beutiful Woman Magazine and the Plus Size fasion revolution said that desireability does not stop at size 12. This was as the magazine was launched in1979.Personaly,I prefer big women.However,Bar I applaud your stand on stoping this insanity with these emaciated so called 'supermodels'.Anorexia is almost a badge of honor in Hollywood and among young women today. This is the real health problem in America and throughout the world.The fashion industry has to GET REAL!

Well, she's obviously not starving herself. Most of Hollywood has gone the skeletal route. Whenever I see Paris Hilton, I have to turn my head, because she's so rail thin. Victoria Beckham's another one I have trouble looking at. This country talks so much about obesity, but we say nothing when females look starved. We're sending out such horrible mixed messages to females of all ages, and I think it's high time people started speaking out against this!!!!!!
