The 62nd Annual Primetime Emmys were, by all accounts, a smash. With terrific hosting by Jimmy Fallon, few dull spots and some major surprises, it was a night to remember.

Touching moments also punctuated the night (there's a reason you're Googling Temple Grandin this morning). George Clooney's speech, imploring his fellow Hollywood folk to remain vigilant when natural disasters and other hardships hit certain areas of the world, was one of the night's best bits.

"It's important to remember how much good can get done, because we live in such strange times where bad behavior sucks up all the attention and press. And the people who really need the spotlight -- the Haitians, the Sudanese, people in the Gulf Coast, Pakistan -- they can't get any," Clooney said. "Here's hoping that some very bright person right here in the room or at home watching can help find a way to keep the spotlight burning on these heartbreaking situations that continue to be heartbreaking long after the cameras go away."
