Bodyguards Follow Prince and Paris Jackson Around New School

Michael Jackson's two oldest children -- Prince Michael, 13, and Paris, 12 -- began their studies at a traditional school last Wednesday -- their first experience outside of homeschooling. But before they could hit the books like "normal" kids, Prince and Paris had to first win over their skeptical grandmother, Katherine.

A family member close to the situation tells PopEater that Paris and Prince's legal guardian protested the idea of sending the sheltered kids to school, feeling their father would have disapproved. However, one of Jermaine Jackson's sons stepped in and encouraged Katherine to allow Prince and Paris to move away from homeschooling.

The King of Pop's eldest children are attending The Buckley School in the San Fernando Valley and a parent at the school tells PopEater that things are anything but "normal" when the famous kids are there.

Both have full-time bodyguards, who patrol the school's parking lot and accompany the kids from class to class, to their lockers and even watch over them during lunch.

This kind of attention would seem to stifle their ability to fit in and make friends -- two things that are important to young Prince, who was seeking a "social experience" by enrolling at the prestigious school. Sources tell us the Jackson's are the only students at the exclusive school with a full-time security detail.

"The bodyguard situation really is a bit intimidating to other kids," one parent, who has four kids at the school, tells PopEater. "And that makes them hesitant to approach Prince and Paris."

TMZ was first to report that the kids were attending school.

Some in the Jackson family are also upset with this situation because they firmly believe sending the kids to school is not something Michael would have wanted. He famously protected his children from the public, and now various family members believe they are vulnerable and exposed to the outside world.

"This is a huge change for both of them," a family source tells PopEater.

The entire family agreed Jackson's youngest child, Blanket, who at 8 years old is reportedly the shyest of the three, is not ready and will stay at home with private tutors.

They probably don't want anyone to talk to the kids because they don't want anyone to tell them that Michael was not their real father. They have them brainwashed into believing they are black. Pathetic.

Wrong moron they don't want morons like you walking up to the kids and telling the that they are not their father's kids and telling them all about the thing that you wanna believe their father did based on tabloids. And they wanna do that because they actually care about the kids and it is inconsequential whether MJ is their father or not and based on facts and not looking through the eyes of the spiteful media he most probably is their father. Debbie's lawyer and friend went on CNN and said that they are his kids 100% and Arnie refused to do the DNA test and Prince has vitiligo which has been confirmed by Karen, Latoya, The Rabbi and the pictures taken on June 24th, 2010 in Hawaii. And Blanket is a clone of MJ so give it up.

So much negativity!!! I think it's great that the children are venturing out into the world, it's their choice, I'm sure. It's only logical that they will have a full security detail. There are so many nuts out there in this world, I don't blame Katherine for being cautious. I don't beleive the security will be detrimental to the children or to Paris and Prince at all. All our previous and current President's children have had the same security and they are thriving and have been able to make friends at their schools. Everyone knows Prince and Paris, and leaving them open for the kooks of the world to hurt them is just crazy. The teachers and the students will adjust, as will Paris and Prince, this is not a new situation. Geesh.....

Those kids are not MJ's biological kids, whats the big deal about them? Let them go regular school like anyone else. Do those Jacksons want to raise three more weirdos, paranoid whackos like MJ??? Give me a break!

The big deal is that Michael paid their mother millions of dollars for them and then for her silence on who their real father is. So they need bodyguards to prevent other children from snatching them.

How do they expect those children to be normal if they keep them clouded in mystery? First of all, they are not Jackson's biological children. They keep lying about it, the kids don't stand a fair chance. They are building up these children as if they are better than anyone else and the truth is they are not. The family says that they have Jacko's talent. How can that be when they are not related to him?

Seriously you need to stop being stupid you have more posts on this article than MJ fans and you are insulting the kids father and saying they aren't his and claiming to care about them. You are useless and need to get a life and stop using the kids father to hurt them and whether they are biological or not is inconsequential and you really have to tell me how you know they aren't his especially since Prince has vitiligo and Blanket looks like a clone of MJ...

This family (and I don't mean the children) places much more emphasis on their importance and fame than I think the rest of the world does. I think they would find that these kids would fit in just fine if they would stop drawing attention to who their father is.

His kids. Therefore bound for life to status. How to separate? Will never happen.

Exposed to the "Outside world"? Exactly who do these people thing they are? They are nothing but trash from the ghetto in Gary, Indiana. Nothing else. The children are not even related to them. Everything you said was stupid and uncalled for. The children do need some level of security seeing as they just inherited a billion dollar estate that shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. However they don't need to be so close to them that they stick out like a sore thumb. This could really make the others talk about them or dislike them.
