Slash to Divorce Wife of Nine Years

Velvet Revolver guitarist and former Guns N' Roses shredder Slash is filing for divorce from Perla Ferrar, his wife since 2001. The couple has two boys, 6 and 8 years old.

Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, will seek joint custody, TMZ reports. Sources close to the pair tell TMZ "the breakup is extremely acrimonious."

Slash and Perla's date of separation is listed as July 15, 2010. There was no prenuptial agree and Slash is reportedly willing to pay spousal support.

For those of you who called Slash's wife a fat obnoxious person. Shame on you. I just googled her and she is NOT FAT. You people are the reasons are young girls are anorexic and bulemic! She looks very healthy. Do you tell your daughters who are healthy that they are fat? thats how it starts....

People really should check their facts before spouting off. First of all, if you don't think Slash is incredibly hot then you obviously have never seen or heard him play. In addition, he is a huge animal rights supporter who gives and gives. From what I understand he is a very good father and his children idolize him. There is an old saying "You can't judge a book by its cover!" Ever hear that?

I may not know about him being "hot" but he plays a mean guitar nd is a great father - I know that. However, it must be a strain on the relationship with is recent touring and popularity. Two boys are a lot to raise.

Divorce is difficult for everyone involved, especially the children. I am amazed at how judgemental and hateful some of you can be. There personal lives are made public simply because of who they are; isn't that enough to have to deal with without people being so cruel and heartless about it. If you can't say something positive then why bother!
