Bethenny Frankel Quits 'Real Housewives of New York'

While everyone is still buzzing about the big blowup on Monday night's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' reunion special, even bigger news is hitting the wires about its sister show, 'Real Housewives of New York.' Bethenny Frankel is quitting, UsMagazine.com exclusively reports.

After three seasons of bickering with other socialites on the island of Manhattan, the brunette reality star is calling it quits. "Last season was scary and painful. It took all of the joy out of it," Frankel told UsMagazine. "My gut's saying not to be part of this cast."

Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy recently welcomed daughter Bryn in May--and she just doesn't think the show is a good fit anymore.

Part of that might be due to the huge success of her Bravo spinoff show, 'Bethenny Getting Married?' which debuted early this summer to huge numbers. The premiere of Frankel's show garnered more than 2 million viewers--the highest rated premiere of a new Bravo show.

A Bravo insider claims Frankel is contractually bound to make a few appearances on the show and the network is crossing its fingers that she'll come back full-time. 'RHONY' begins filming its fourth season on September 20.

I think she made the right the choice. You have a wonderful husband and a BEAUTIFUL daughter Most of those women are self centered and enjoy drama. You have a great life and to stay on the show you risk losing something you waited your whole life for a family. A man that love and adore you.
