Actor Chad Lowe, 42, and his film producer girlfriend, Kim Painter, wed Saturday, PEOPLE reports. The small seaside ceremony took place at Terranea Resort in LA in front of a handful of family and friends.Rob Lowe, Chad's brother, served as the best man. Chad, who was married to Oscar winner Hillary Swank from 1997 to 2006, has a 15-month-old daughter, Mabel, with his new wife. The little lady served as ring bearer at the wedding. PEOPLE notes that Mabel is "the first girl born into the Lowe family in nearly four generations."
Lowe and Painter have been together since January 2007.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chad Lowe on a NYC Subway. We chatted and he was really nice, (This was right before his breakup with Hillary Swank). Adter we chastted i went back to my friends and when he was getting off the train, he came over to me and said " Fran it was really nice meeting you". He actually took the time to walk across the train before he got off to say that. I know a gazillion non-celebrities who wouldnt even do that, lol....just saying, really nice guy....

My favorite performance of Chad Lowe's was as John Denver in Take Me Home, Country Roads: The John Denver Story back in 2000. He was perfectly cast in that.

It's about time that Chad got married. I still think Chad and Hillary made a great couple. They can still be friends and one day Hillary will find happiness just like her ex. God bless them and hope everything will go just right.
