Sandra Bullock's Nickname for Baby Louis: 'My Little Cajun Cookie'

Sandra Bullock says her baby son is the "crown prince" in the family because everyone else is female -- even her pets.

Bullock called her adopted son from New Orleans, Louis Bardo Bullock, her "little Cajun cookie."

She started the adoption process four years ago, and Louis' adoption was finalized earlier this year. Bullock announced her adoption in the midst of husband Jesse James' brutal cheating scandal, resurfacing after months out of the public eye with a glowing PEOPLE magazine cover holding her baby boy.

In an interview airing this morning on NBC's 'Today' show, Bullock says she didn't want to use her celebrity status to speed up the adoption process. She says: "I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did."

Bullock was in New Orleans this week for the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina to celebrate the opening of a school-based health clinic that she contributed to.

Bullock finalized her divorce from James earlier this year. He's since shacked up with the tattooed Kat Von D.

Photos of Bullock and Louis have been few and far between, though Us Weekly had some in May.

I really like Sandra Bullock's acting and public personna. However, why couldn't she have adopted a white baby...it would have been just as easy to aquire and easier to raise. It seems that the "Hollywood set" often goes to extremes to prove a social or political point.

You can only adopt children that are available. Its not often caucasian babies are available and Saundra has a special place in her heart of new Orleans so it just seems natural she would adopt a baby from a city she loves. It really has nothing to do with color...it has to do with love. A mothers heart knows no color. God chooses for us, not us.

She didn't specifically set out to adopt a baby of any race/color, she just wanted to adopt a child that needed a family. Her love and desire to parent didn't have any other requirements.

Get a life will you, why are you looking at what color is, I glad she choose to adopt what ever color she wanted, we all are different shades of beautiful color, and their should be a mixer throughout their world, because the world would be a much better place when we see all as one big beautiful rainbow that God created and when we get to heaven, we will all be God beutiful shades of color, God adopted all of us and you wouldn't tell him why he chose that child of color and why he should have choosing another color. Times has change and for you, who feels like Sandra should have choosing another color, would you adopt a child of your same color and give elcolm the child into your home if not, then be happy and not judge.
