Exclusive: The Truth Behind Teresa Giudice's Nephew on 'Housewives' Reunion

You saw it, the earth-shaking exchange between Danielle Staub and Teresa Giudice on Monday night's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' reunion special. The F-bomb barrage started with a question from Danielle to Teresa: "Did you acknowledge your nephew? Did you?" Teresa replied, "Yeah, of course I did," but after pausing for a second, she exploded. EXPLODED!

"Danielle doesn't intimidate me. I don't care if she stays on the show or not," Teresa tells me in an exclusive statement regarding the explosive reunion show.

So, what's the story behind the "nephew" drama? A friend of Teresa's reveals that what viewers saw was Danielle accusing her co-star of not visiting a nephew in the hospital at his birth. I'm told Teresa was at the hospital when the child was born last April, and that he's perfectly fine and beautiful.

Teresa was actually confused as to what Danielle was even talking about. But what set her off was the sudden realization that Danielle was dipping her toes into her private business.

"Danielle is obsessed with Teresa. Digging around her extended family," a family friend tells me. "Danielle brought up a lie about Teresa not visiting her nephew and then Bravo edited it to look more sudden than it was, of course. The best thing to do is just ignore everything Danielle says. That's what Teresa does."

The verbal fight, in which Teresa even shoved host (and Bravo exec) Andy Cohen, shocked more than just the viewers. It also blew away other 'Housewives' on the stage. WATCH THE MADNESS >>

"Insanity, complete insanity," is how Caroline Manzo described the scene to me in an exclusive statement. "We filmed for ten hours and by the end of the day, I was speechless. It took me two days to recover, I seriously could not compose a rational thought for hours."

Rumors have circulated that Teresa would leave the show if Danielle was invited back for another season. However, friends of our favorite housewife tell me that couldn't be further from the truth.

"I just talked to her and it's funny but she actually doesn't care if Danielle comes back for another season or not," a friend of Teresa's tells me. "Teresa's not intimidated or scared of Danielle. She actually thinks Danielle makes good TV and is amusing. If anything, she feels sorry for her. All she has in her life is this show."

My insider adds, "Teresa, on the other hand, doesn't spend one second of her time thinking about Danielle."

Sources confirm that it is the Manzo family that has made it very clear to Bravo that if Danielle stays, they go. Family member Dina Manzo has already quit the show and made it clear she would not be part of anything that involves Danielle, saying publicly that they are worried about their safety and that of their families when Danielle is around.

However, "Teresa doesn't feel that Danielle is a threat to her family or happiness at all," an insider tells me. "She's much tougher than that!"

wow that teresa is tough. i was considering going to the auction at their house until i saw that. shed throw me the f out of there if i low balled any of her old house items. id love to see her knock out danielle. however i do think its teresa's fault. she starts crap all the time with danielle. But id have to say they all looked Good!

Why do intellegent people waste there time and insult their intellegence by watching such bad behavior? Change the channel and stop insulting your intellegence. Then we wonder why our kids behave the way they do today look at the example being set for them. Talk about trash. The people on these shows are the perfect example of trash covered with expensive cloths.

I 4one love the show.Can't stand Danielle,And starting not 2 like Terersa.Only problem is,if those 2 leave who they all gonna fight with? Looney Kim D??? Hahahaha..I do BELEIVE that one or the other stories about a (NEPHEW) is true.I'm leaning more towards Joe and the mistress..More so because Tereas said in her blog yesterday,that she didn't say "Don't u BREAK up my family"..She said 2 set the record straight she said "Don't BRING up my family" I don't know about all of u that watched the show (which i did several times) I heard BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!! And heard it a couple times...Hmmmmmmmm

And only thing missing is all the toilet paper needed to wipe up the s-h-i-t the Manzo's and more so the whole lotta crap from Teresa that's left behind. Teresa seriously needs psychiatic care and medication. And anybody that doesn't think so should join her in therapy. If not, someone in that family should call for a priest to perform an excorizm before she vomits pea soup as her head is always spinning now.

I HATEHATEHATE how Teresa insults the average viewers intelligence with her spin. The show is all Ds life and not hers? Without the show, she wouldn't have a book on the NY Times Best seller list, and without the show book number 2 won't reach it at all. Public appearances Jac mentioned on the reunion? No one would care.

Danielle is despicable in her own right, but for T to think that the "rumors on the web" and the NY Times articles aren't based on public RECORD, the fact that Juicy hasn't had a drivers license for 9 out of 20 years (fact, look it up), it's NOT 11 million (yep, it's only 10)...the guy showing up at her home to take photo's of the inventory to be auctioned...did she not notice him?

I especially hate her for single handedly making Danielle almost sympathetic a creature this season. Not quite, but she ruined the Danielle hate that was so abundant. The Manzos need to run like the wind.

It kills me to think that these women beleive that they are NORMAL. I don't know any friends who act like any of these
housewives and waste money on bad hair and bad clothes and
bad boob jobs! There are so many of these housewives shows
but I can't believe people are so snobby and think that we
would even like them. Women who are making even more money
on records when they can't sing. Oh the list goes on and on.
This is not life as I know it.

I can recall the first time I saw Teresa flip out on the show. I remember thinking that she acts like a woman who's been cheated on...there's a lot of pain behind those outbursts.

The only thing that could have made my sympathetic towards Danielle was Teresa's outrageous attack on her. That was no acting: Teresa isn't smart enough or talented enough. She was truly out of control, grunting and screeching. It was the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I don't know why the mention of her nephew could have triggered Teresa like this, but it was a genuine trigger and a genuine out of control moment, and it wasn't any "Teresa realized Danielle had been digging around in her family." I suspect it has something to do with all those rumors about Teresa's husband's affairs.
