Lindsay Lohan Orders Father to Stop Selling Her Personal Property

Lindsay Lohan and her father, Michael, are often at odds in the press. Now they're at odds legally, with Lindsay's lawyer sending Michael a cease-and-desist letter ordering him not to sell her personal property, according to RadarOnline.com.

In a letter delivered from LiLo's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley to Michael's lawyer Lisa Bloom, the starlet calls her father's actions shameful and appalling.

The spat seems to center around Michael's sale of Lindsay's handwritten diary entries from her time in rehab in 2007. Lohan writes she had no idea her father possessed the diary and gave him no permission to sell or distribute the material. The letter is dated Aug. 23 -- one day before Lindsay was released from rehab last week.

"Michael Lohan did not buy or sell any part of Lindsay's diaries, which were sent to him anonymously," Michael's attorney Lisa Bloom tells PopEater's Naughty But Nice Rob. "Michael loves Lindsay and is sorry that she has chosen to attack him in the media. He wishes her the best in her recovery and is ready, willing and able to talk to her at any time."

Lindsay's lawyer has advised Michael that selling any of her personal belongings will result in Lindsay using legal means to seek damages for "grave invasion of privacy."

LiLo told Vanity Fair earlier this week, "I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life."

In response, Michael told RadarOnline, "They did the interview before Lindsay went to jail and rehab. What did they expect her to say?"

Her mom is so mucdh worse. She can NEVER admit when her daughter is wrong, enables her to the fullest, lives off her kid and actually uses with her. Every single time shes in trouble her mom is blaming someone else shes just "being a young person" and Lindsay herself always blames her dad. Maybe her dad does do some sleazy stuff, but at least her wants her to live and admits shes got problems with drugs and booze.

"Michael Lohan did not buy or sell any part of Lindsay's diaries, which were sent to him anonymously," Yeah,more than likely sent to him by Dina after she sold pages out of it to make Michael appear to be the worse parent of the two.They all need counsuling to get their s**t together and grow the f**k up.

the toxic enviroment this child grew up in is the cause of her problems. these parents should have been charged with neglect and abuse. most people in "the business" believe she is extremily talented and are all hoping for her survival. she needs to remove herself from people who enable her bad actions. that will be the begining of her real life.

innocent until proven guilty and she was proven she was not on anything but adhd and that can make people look like they are on crack when they are on the meds for that- some of the meds can also cause delusions. but i can see here that people call her skank, etc.... and yet you think you are better than her- yeah right- most people call others names to make them feel better about themselves- hu lindi

I continue to say the same thing, that Lindsay Lohan and her father, like the rest of us, need to turn their lives over to Jesus, before it is eternally too late.

It was quite shocking to find out her father would go even further to hurt her by exposing/selling her diary. Trustworthy professional therapists would not even be willing to read their patients' diary. Her father needs to stop trying so hard to act like Lindsay's "power of attorney" even if he legally is her power of attorney, he needs to back off and give her some breathing space. Lindsay needs all the counseling she can get so she be strong and independant from her parents.

I have to question about Lindsay's mother, if what Michael said about Dina is true or not, only Lindsay would know for sure I hope.

Nothing like riding on the coat tails of your daughter's fame. Michael did such a great job of keeping his daughter off of drugs, why would anyone want to go to a rehab that he was opening? Are people clueless??????

I don't know about you people but I am SICK of Lindsay blaming her father (along with everything else under the sun) for everything little problem that has gone wrong in her life. "get through the trauma my father has caused through my life" PLEASE!! Am I condoning Michael Lohan? Not in the least but think about it...he wasn't there with a gun to her head saying "have this drink" or "do that line of coke" This child needs to grow up and start taking responsibility for her own actions..only then maybe will she be able to truly "get well"
