LA Police Want to Speak to Mel Gibson a Third Time

Mel Gibson has been seeing a lot of the LA County Sheriff's Department lately. Investigators are looking to speak with the actor for a third time in connection to extortion claims against Oksana Grigorieva, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the continuing series of interviews strongly hints at the department taking the extortion case very seriously, though the investigation won't wrap for at least several weeks.

In July, Gibson, 54, initially seemed the sole bad guy in a series of leaked tapes of him screaming at ex-girlfriend Oksana, the mother of his baby daughter. TMZ quickly advanced the story with sources boasting "hard proof" that Grigorieva used audio rants to attempt to extort him of more than $10 million. In return, she allegedly would have kept the tapes under wraps.

Mel began dating Oksana just a few weeks after his ex-wife of over 30 years filed for divorce.

It was recently revealed that Gibson crashed his car in Malibu.

Surely you realize that this is not just a "Mel" problem. This seems to be a "Fame and fortune" problem. I look at current photos of Mr. Gibson and all I can think is, "There is another one that could use really a good, confidential friend to talk to." You see it in all kinds of people in entertainment. It just seems a lot of them just want to ask, "What do I do now?". But their super-public profiles won't let them take a break. God bless them all by sending good people to help them and open their hearts to discern and accept good help.

There's always two sides to consider. Takes time to get to the whole of the situation. Sure Mel hasn't dealt with this in a positive way, but I can find as much fault with her. DO people not see a gold digger in this woman? Mel has been taken for one horrendous ride...........

I don't know if she leaked the tapes or not and do not care at all if she did. I would totally understand it. I'm certain that these phone calls were not the first time this insane man abused her and because he's a big time Hollywood celebrity no one would believe her or care. At least now it's proven he has abused her.

It makes me sick to think of all these people who back up their "hero" because they perceive this woman to be only interested in his money. He can rant and rave and scream like a mad man, threaten her life and knock out her teeth and he's the hero. Really? Wow.
